Great position & staffI stayed here for 11 nights recently and it was great. The position is fantastic. It is just 150m from the subway station, there is a Burger King beside the station, a Family Mart (like a 7/11) across the road with good coffee or, if you feel like something more upmarket, the Hilton Double Tree is the same distance away. The area is very "tree'd" and green with lots of parks & waterways around (look but don't touch!!). The hotel room was fairly large with a wonderful bathroom pod and the best shower doors I've ever seen/used - French doors! The WiFi was strong and reliable the view from my room was a pleasant, city view. Yes, things show a bit of wear & tear and sometimes could be cleaner but overall it was perfect. Breakfast is available for about $7. Very economic - $500 for 11 nights!!

Improvement neededThe hotel is quite a distance from the city centre. After a day tour which ended in PanMen tourist hot spot, we were charged RMB100 for an almost an hour car trip to the hotel. After 10 minutes checking in with the printed AirAsiaGo confirmation notice, given the room key and blissfully thinking that we could rest in the room then, we were told by the reception counter that the hotel did not have any link to Air AsiaGo and could not trace our booking. That was the rude shock of the day after a tiring journey. It took about another hour using our own mobile phone to get to the China AirAsiaGo local contact and was told the notice was sent to the hotel months ago. The staff did not even apologise to us for the inconvenience caused. In my humble opinion, the hotel needs an upgrade in information management to keep trace with the bookings for each and every month. Use the hotel phone for inquiry instead of taxing on the customers. The roaming fees are high after all. The good thing about the hotel is it is near the MRT, with a fee of RMB5, you can go downtown.

Stayed here 1.5 days. HappyI just got back from a trip to the Usa and lost my apartment keys there so I needed a place to sleep till I could figure out how to get into my home. So I looked for hotels to sleep for a day or two and choose the ibis. Thankfully the driver who picked me up at Pudong airport knew where it was and brought me there. For $37 a night I was okay with it as I was exhausted and pretty much needed a safe and clean place to shower and sleep. Ibis fit that requirement. Check it was simple. Passport and 275 rmb. No deposit. Room was very clean and so where the sheets and towels. Equipped with a nice sized tv but only Chinese channels. Bed was queen size and comfortable with ample pillows. Shower was hot and there is body soap shampoo inside. Some amenities. Water. Toothbrushes. Soap. Slippers. Tp. Ample towels and a floor towel. Water boiling machine. The hotel has a pay washer and dryer. They offered a breakfast buffet but I passed and walked over to the Burger King instead for a 10:30am Whopper. Family Mart and a fruit store close by also. Subway stop on the corner. They gave me an extended check out till 7pm for an extra 137.5 rmb. It was worth it. Computers in the lobby and ice available in the buffet area. Im happy with the Ibis and will recommend it and stay there again. Thankfully I was able to get back in to my apartment then next day.

Decent hotel - very close to public transportTypical no frills budget hotel. Includes a comfortable bed, a coffee table and chair and has in-room/lobby WiFi. The hotels was clean and the staff was friendly. The best part is its proximity to the Metro station (2 mins walk). has a few restaurants, family marts and a Burger king nearby. it is just 2 stations away from Times square which is quite a good area to hangout

worng time, wrong placeBooked a room in this ibis for one night. Usually I am fairly satisfied with this chain, but this time I was let down. First of all, the hotel was undergoing some major renovation, which was not explained to us at the time of the booking, of course. The lobby was closed-off, andto get to the hotel we needed to pass by a huge pile of old matresses and construction litter. Second, the workers who were renovating the places smoked on the floor and in the elevator, which was very unpleasant. And last, but not least, the room itself was old and shabby. I think they would be better off closing the hotel for the time of renovation. Overall, disappointing.
