  Unsafe, unkempt, will not return.

  Reading recent reviews in hindsight, I agree with those who say this place is rundown, dirty and unsafe. I had hoped for something better, but our 2 nights in midJan 2021 showed: - non functioning outdoor spa - only 1 jet works and is barely luke warm - dirty outdoor pool - dirty kids pool - dirty indoor pool - broken roofing in the indoor pool area, much potential for leakage - broken sliding door in the family suite between adult and kids bedrooms - so door had to remain open all the time. - electrical wiring exposed at ground level in the kids activity room - dirty kids activity room - broken or non-closing safety gates between kids playground and pool and car park - plastic chair in kids playground which could easily be used as access over pool fencing to main pool area - run down mini golf - overgrown spiky plants on main walkway to spa - rude staff who dismissed my question about the non functioning spa. - same staff member basically yelled at me because I wanted to clarify if pool closed at 9.30pm as sign said, or was open all night (as she said). - pool area accessible all night long by anyone off the street. - minimal staff who appear overwhelmed and unable to do essential maintenance - eg when I mentioned the unclean pool to 2 different staff - 1 said oh yes, we know, I must add some chemicals to it today. The other said something like yeah I know, ummm I struggle to keep it clean , Im not a pool guy, I dont really know what to do. When I asked who did know, and maybe if I could speak to the manager about it - he was completely unable to assist me. I try to make allowance for businesses recovering post Covid , and I want to support these places - but honestly these issues go way beyond anything Covid -related. I will most likely report the unsafe pool fencing to the council. I would hate to think a child may drown and I stay silent on this. I am awaiting the owners response firstly and I will update this forum.

  Below standard, not as portrayed on websites

  Mum and I had an unpleasant experience. We were first given a key to a room that wouldnt open. So were then given a room that was dirty, unkept and rundown. The towel rail was not on the wall. When we enquired we were told they would send someone down. We were told to put our towels on chairs. They were not kitchen chairs. Beds were very soft to sit on. We were sympathetic that a storm had damaged their resort facilities, that were all unusable. Laundry was unavailable. Only the back of the smoke detector was on the wall. We requested a discount. Someone in charge rang and yelled that we had disgusting attitudes and there would be no discounts, that she would put a bad review online about us. She told us to get out within an hour and that there would be no refund. We had booked for 2 nights but were only there for an hour before all this happened. We did not get the money back. We had booked through booking .com and they tried to help but were unsuccessful. I wish I knew about this site before booking. We have five star reviews from every other place we have been. We went to the best western for the two nights and it was great.

  Not impressed

  Unfortunately this was not to our expectations, after viewing on website I thought it was a perfect place for our family to stay for two nights!! Pool unsafe, not clean,mini golf, might as well rip that out. The rooms where dated, spa in room didn't work, not very clean, advertised WiFi but you could not connect to it, when I questioned it I was told they where having some issues today and it should be working tomorrow, after further research I found that it has looked to be non working for a long time. Overall we ended up only staying one night as 230 dollars a night was a far to much for what we got. Very disappointing

  Enter at own risk! ...Voted Worst Ever "resort" in Australian History

  What a joke, stayed for 6 nights in what could only be described as 3rd world "resort" with first world price. Some of the highlights included rat sightings at midday, the over powering stench of the dumpster not cleared for a week , imaginative cleaning practices including vacuuming around the furniture and ignoring the rubbish overflow , the collapsed roof in the games room , the rat poo in the Gym and the pools, oh the pools , a breeding ground for yeast (or worse) infections if ever there was. You couldn't see the bottom it was so cloudy the kiddy pool looked like the local tip. The breakfast was inedible the staff looked dejected , The place was a health hazard and should be inspected by the health department. Did I mention the staff ?the "manager" oh my , the manager... we payed in full (important point) on departure and wanted to give a little constructive feed back, nothing more! The wash up was we are now on the do not return list and believe me there is no way in hell we even would. I could go on and on . Do your self a favour and give this one a miss.

  DO not STAY avoid this run down so called resort

  Worst ever experience , Run down resort that has been reported to the council . Manager was abusive with foul language and should be reported also. Avoid at all costs .... property is up forsale and is being run into the ground , management do not care . Read all the other reviews to get the picture , the manager also has a habit of cancelling bookings and leaving guests stranded. Stayed here 3 times prior and will not being staying here again it is not the same !!!! I notified 7 other groups of friends who had also booked this property and have now all cancelled . WARNING do not stay !!!
