  Absolute basic rooms but convenient parking and location

  Stop over for one night on the way to Calais so we could have an early start. The room is so small even the door will not open completely without hitting the bed. Bathroom the same with basic toiletries . Breakfast was not bad and the location is good with parking available and plenty of restaurants withing easy walking distance. Rather expensive for what it is.

  Disappointed

  rooms incredibly small, no air con, bins not emptied and towels not replaced. Understand that due to covid cleaning may be limited but clean towels and empty bin could have been achieved. On the plus side staff were very friendly and helpful and made sure all guests wore masks appropriately.

  Fantastic hotel in a great location

  We stayed here as a family of 4, we had two interconnecting rooms with everything we could ask for. The breakfast was lovely, served buffet style With lots of choice. The staff were very friendly. The hotel is in walking distance of a number of nice restaurants. The hotel went above and beyond to make our stay a good one!

  Great location and other positives

  We enjoyed our stay here and the hotel deserves 5* in a number of areas, so will start with the reasons for our lower rating. There is no AC, and having an open window on such a busy street is difficult. As others have noted, the rooms are really quite small. It was OK for our one night stay, but would feel cramped for much longer or if one had large suitcases. The design of the hotel is stylish, and the bar (including Happy Hour!) is a welcome bonus. Breakfast buffet nicely presented, with sufficient choice to enjoy a good meal. Streetside seating is rare in city centre hotels. Free parking directly opposite, and fantastic location (great cathedral view from our room) On the price, maybe a touch high considering the room size, but we did not regret paying it.

  well sited

  Easy to find, plenty of free parking available. We stayed here 2 non-consecutive nights, one arriving in France the other leaving. Rooms are small and on the second night a well-built person would not have got into the shower. However the beds are very comfortable and a good night's sleep was had on both occasions. Given the circumstances the breakfast was more than acceptable. The staff are friendly and helpful even giving me a battery for my mouse so I could fill in the useless online form needed for returning home. (So much for track and trace, no interest at the border complete waste rather like the govt.)
