  Having stayed at this hotel many times prior to the recent covid crisis, i was somewhat disappointed on this stay. The room had a cobweb in one corner and there was a large amount of dust on the top shelf of the wardrobe. A previously half eaten Chinese meal had been left outside in the corridor on our arrival and it was there when we departed the following morning! Tv reception was very hit and miss with few channels working correctly. My main concern was the breakfast bags which consisted of an open brown bag containing various items. The croissant and pastry did not appear to be fresh and the apple provided was of poor quality. More worryingly, it was obvious that some of the bags had been "rifled" through by previous residents taking what they wanted from the bags, as the first bag I picked up was missing various items. However I would say during normal times the full English breakfast was always first class. Despite my previous comments it will not prevent me from using this hotel in future The reception staff , as always were very pleasant

  More of a brothel than a hotel

  We have been regularly staying in this hotel for the past few years as my partners family live close by. Over the years it has become more and more tatty needing to be seriously updated. Before we had our daughter we would usually stay in the building that is separate from the hotel but since we had our baby weve been put in the main hotel area in the family room (I use the term family lightly). Last time we stayed we was in a room with a broken toilet door which we had reported, this time we were allocated the same room and the toilet door wouldnt even open. It was lucky someone wasnt inside it as theyd have been stuck. I went to reception and they moved us to another room right being the communal toilet so all night we could hear flushing and hand dryers which is not ideal with a newborn baby! Next day i returned from our day out the bathroom was soaking wet, the room had not been cleaned, no fresh towels or bed lining. I went to reception and they moved us to the first floor of the main hotel to what can only be described as a brothel! There was lots of rooms surrounding ours with doors going all night, loud sex and noise all night. Theres no phone so I couldnt go downstairs to complain as my newborn was in the room and my partner was away for the evening. The whole of the first floor landing absolutely stinks of sweat and dirt. Honestly the longest 4 nights of my life and I would advise booking the premier inn down the road for the same price which is what weve done for our next trip.

  We stayed here for one night. Positive They allowed our small dog to stay Room was clean Parking available Staff professional Negatives Pricing changed on arrival different to that when booked with reputable company. Breakfast poor,absolutely not worth having, other than an apple no other fresh ingredient offered. It really is a shame as just some small changes could really improve the experience.

  Ok but...

  DO NOT STAY HERE WITH A TRADESMANS VAN. Husband had his turned over here Oct 2020. Stay here because they have cameras and security gates!!!!!!!!. £3000 damage and £4000 tools. Might aswell have parked in the middle of the road and left the doors open. At least it would be just the tools, not days off with getting van repaired. Staff said well we have new Gates and you were under a camera

  Noisy and cold

  The rooms are freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer very noisy rooms double glazing needs looking at at don't bother same price as the Premier Inn in and you can't compare the two most of the time the Premier Inn is even cheaper
