  Comfortable stay & a great bird watching trip

  We visited Laem Pak Bia in December 2017. Spent four nights at the I Tara Resort & Spa. Ours was a bird watching trip. We had a great stay at the resort. The room was clean and simple. We had a room with a nice view overlooking the sea. No frills and nothing fancy. The staff was friendly and helped arrange transport to and from the birding sites. If you are looking for a private taxi to the birding sites, I would strongly recommend Mr Nut. He can be reached at +66 853730375. He speaks good English and knows how to engage you in a conversation. He is reliable, punctual and a safe, defensive driver. We really liked his service and engaged him for the ride from the resort to Bangkok airport.

  Budget and convenient Hotel

  This hotel is compact and convenience. Swimming pool is in the heart of the area. Nice photo shots can be take around the swimming pool and the beach. However, the beach is quite short. I did not see anyone swim around. Local food shop for souvenir is opposite the hotel. Car park is limit. Food is fine, not good but not bad. People can reach the rooms easy. Quality of bed is okay. Size of bathroom is okay.

  Lovely ocean views

  This modest hotel in Thai regional area met our expectations - its a resort hotel on the beach, nice reception area with wicker chairs and view of garden, has a swimming pool. Basic decor in rooms, good size bathroom, excellent hot shower. Bed very firm, air cond good so slept well, very helpful service. If disabled request a room on ground floor as they dont have a lift. If on second floor staff will carry bags up stairs. Table and tv and tea making facility. Restaurant food good quality, well presented, a la carte breakfast options limited but both western and Thai options tasty

  New Chef , new hotel, wonderful place

  Stayed here for 4 days midweek , virtually had the hotel to myself as this seems to be a weekend retreat for the Bangkok set, They are currently building a new hotel next door which will ready early next year & will double the room size to around 160 rooms. With this in mind they have taken on a brilliant new chef from the 5 star Avani in Chang Mai, it is my opinion he is one of the best chefs in Thailand & he will make a huge difference to the quality of food here, his name is Nan & he looked after me throughout my stay with mouth watering dishes. This is a beachside location a bit remote but just right for a short relaxing stay.

  Dont Book It - Soulless Place

  We booked this hotel and we a soon as we stepped in we knew it was the wrong place. What we though about it The Very Good None The Good Only one guy ( we did not get his name but he wears glasses and helped us to rent a motorbike) He was willing to help because the rest of the reception had no intention to help The Ok None The Bad 1. The girls at the reception 2. The room 3. The location. Totally isolated of everything 4. The noise. They were building a extension next to the hotel or a different hotel. 5. Surrounding landscape. Cmon guys have some shade. 6. Private beach! Cmon that is a 30 feet long artificial beach. I would never stay again ever. In fact we left the place even though the room was paid. We went to Fisherman Resort and we love it. Pick the garden suite though Photos from Agoda are deciving
