  Not worth the money

  Old hotel rooms, poor service, unfriendly staff, beautiful lobby with no possibility to use it in the evening as no drinks are served after already 21:00. Hyatt with Hyatt room price standards but no Hyatt service standards.

  Disappointed

  I was completely disappointed with my recent stay at Hyatt at this location Changbaishan. Checked in the first night with my 76 year mother, she took the shower and the drainage was blocked immediately after she started, water blooded in bathroom. She had to dry up, came out to ask for help. I called front desk, service crew came to check, took three people and special tool to fix it, it was late and floor was wet, so I asked if we can be moved to a different room. The room we were moved to was downgraded in my opinion, I had balcony in the previous room, but not this one, and also went down by one level. The front desk explained that that was the only one available. ( by observing later the next two days, very few rooms were occupied) . I was puzzled by why cleaning crew did it know the drainage was blocked if they have cleaned the room? So I left a message to front desk crew to have manager call me the next day to explain. No one called to explain or apologize. Next day, I took the shower in the morning, used all shampoo and conditioner. Evening we came back, the room was cleaned, but shampoo and conditioner were not restocked. Third day, my room was not cleaned at all, I had to call front desk to have it cleaned in the evening. I did check to make sure do not disturb was not turned on The room hygiene was bad, visible dust was seen on glass shelves in the room. Also during breakfast time, we asked for some additional Napkin, the waitress told us to wait while she went to clean other tables which had no customers at the table, Not sure why she would not help us first? The whole time, no smile, no warmness from servers. I was completely shocked with the service level there. I have stayed at many Hyatt hotels in the past, always liked the quality and service I received in the past. I was completely shocked and disappointed with this experience. When checking out, I complained to the front desk manager Scott Ma , he told me there was nothing he could help me with, after I insisted, he called his manager Ming Li, he talked to me over the phone, again he said he does not have the authority to help me, after I insisted, he was able to get hold of his management and waived the service fee on my stay. I felt I paid a 5 star hotel price but received a service even less than a 2 star would be able to offer. Completely disappointed Lei 248-2191825

  Amazing hotel

  Recently came for a wedding trip. Not speaking any Chinese the staff was incredibly helpful. I lost a bag in the bus and staff drove to go get it. The staff even helped when our flight got canceled. The hotel is beautiful wood interior, not far from ski slopes. Definitely get the breakfast both Chinese and western options are nice

  Pricey but everything is EXCELLENT

  Location is perfect, in the middle of Shaman street, accessible to all restaurants and back to the Ski Park. Bed is very comfortable! Room charge comes with lounge service, good breakfast, compliment ski tickets, big pool, outdoor hotspring...everything is perfect.

  Wonderful Ski Resort Hotel

  This is NOT the first time that I stay at the hotel; but it is certainly the most enjoyable stay. Several people made the stay memorable. Sera Wu contacted me in advance to check if I was still going there and answered all my questions relating to proper documents needed for travels to Changbaishan (Covid infections were a concern at the time). She was very responsive to my questions, including ski conditions there. Charles Xia went out of his way to contact me and made sure that all my needs were met. Charles and his team provided excellent service in the Regency Club. I really appreciated the drinks and appetizers there. Sunny and Lester took care of us for our dinning needs. The Valentines' dinner at Park Hyatt that Lester booked for us was wonderful. On our last day, Sunny arranged a nice early dinner for us so that we can leave the hotel at 5 pm. There were others who asked me how my stay was. There was a genuine sense of caring exhibited by all the hotel staff. I was a globetrotter before Covid and stayed in countless five star hotels around the world. I'd rate this stay at your hotel one of the best. I will be back, hopefully soon. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
