  Great place @ great price

  We had our team stay there one night for a track meet the following day at Washburn University. Very clean & friendly. Had all room keys (19 rooms) ready for when we arrived. Great price per room! We will definitely stay here again when in Topeka.

  Needs work

  Hotel desperately needs renovation. On each floor's elevator lobby, there is a phone on the wall and you can tell from fading that there once was a table underneath it - all gone. Ice only on 3rd floor of 6. Breakfast offering pre-pandemic was a decent buffet; where competitors have adapted with reasonable alternatives, this unit's approach is to offer prepackaged muffins and cereals, and weak coffee. That's it. Pitiful. Next to our room, a large section of wall was torn out and covered over with plastic. Probably the worst in terms of violations was that the exit door next to our room, which is a fire door, was propped open semi-permanently with a piece of vacuum attachment jammed in the hinge area at the top. And no, there were no workmen on the floor that day so it had been there. Hyatt Place is usually a decent 3-star-level hotel, but not this one. Also, while the desk employee was masked and gloved, many customers were not .

  Hyatt Place Topeka was a great overnight stay

  All Covid Protocols were in place and hotel was clean. All guests and staff were masked as expected. Parking was easy and location is right off of I-70. You do have to use your GPS to find the entrance. Staff was attentive and friendly.

  Family visit.

  The King room was perfect for 2 adults and a small child. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in at a hotel. The corner L shaped couch folded out into a sofa which was fun for my 7 year old nephew to sleep on and the large rolling ottoman was another nice feature. The walk in shower was also a bonus for my mom who has mobility issues.

  Awesome

  Staff were all superb. Have I mentioned the staff were great? If I havent I should probably say it again. The staff were great, friendly, attentive and overall totally radical. Not entirely sure how I could say that any different.
