Absolutely not 4 star!I arrived here at 12.30p.m. The check-in took 20 minutes and I was then left to struggle with my bags and find my room. The rooms are basic at best; reminiscent of a slightly upscale Premier Inn. The room was clean and the bedding fresh. It was very cold and the heating system did nothing to warm the room. The blinds on the windows are not sufficiently thick to block out the lights from outside. Breakfast was shambolic. The hotel was clearly full and the hotel unprepared. It is completely self-service, including getting your own cutlery. The food was limited and poor quality. I queued for 10 minutes to get coffee. Check-out was also poor. Customer service needs attention. I would never stay here again or recommend it to anyone else.

Best value business hotel in ShanghaiThis is a very good and clean hotel - HYATT quality with breakfast that is located close to the Shanghai hongqiao railway station and the Hongqiao airport. however there is nothing to walk around but a mall that is close by. so it is not truly in the city center but if you want to be close to transi it is good value. plus point they have a coin operated laundromat on the 16th floor. as doing laundry on the trip is outrageously expensive at hotels

Nice value; a little remote for most appointmentsGood value; remote; Gym needs to have remote which guest can choose TV monitor stations... limited coffee shop choice for dinner; good breakfast buffett. Nearby name brand outlet mall . Reasonable proximity to metro

Room was very spacious, clean and modern. Service was less that desirableWe were on a tour and have a 2 night stay here at the end of out trip. It was a decent trip to get into downtown Shanghai though - around 30-40 minutes on the tour coach. After our experience the previous night in Hangzhou at a very average hotel this was a god send. The Hotel itself is quite a decent one and it seems very large. There was a lot of people staying there due to some convention nearby. The service was slow and there was a lack of English spoken but Google Translate helped a little. Calling for housekeeping from the room was frustrating and when you did get through you were hung up on when they knew you were speaking English. I realise we are in China and have to try and communicate as best we can but at a Hyatt Hotel I expected some level of English proficiency. If I wanted anything I have to go down to the front desk and seek help. If I didn't impose myself on someone they seemed to just ignore me. There were outlets across the road - very busy road mind you too!. Aside from that no much else around you to do at nighttime that we could see when we went for a walk.

Good hotel but very far from Shanghai DowntownThe hotel is good and clean, but its very far from downtown. Stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to China. Is at-least a 2 hour drive to Shanghai downtown. Won't recommend for tourists. Breakfast was okay. Not too many vegetarian options.
