  Understaffed evening checkin

  I have now experienced twice a delay at checkin at 7pm, and at 8:15pm. First time I assumed was just bad timing, but twice makes me want to warn other evening checkin clients. It seems hotel is understaffed to handle both hotel duties and checkin responsibilities in evenings. Although staff was friendly, 2x of same issue outweighs their kindness. At 8:15 checkin there was no one at desk, and no one answering phones... I tried to call to get help, but line rings only at front desk apparently. Location is very convenient, and rooms provide for needs well. Bed comfortable. Shower was a bit dirty. At 7pm checkin room apparently not ready (maybe overbooked? Front desk said something about changing sheets?)... went to another hotel in area.

  Horrible hotel

  Whoever bought a chain of cheap hotels and renovated them with the Hyatt brand should be fired. This is my second bad Hyatt Place experience and my last. Small room, tiny bathroom, old school air conditioner which made so much noise it rattled the bed which was within inches. But when the air conditioner stopped the road noise was like sleeping on the side of the road with your car window down. Room not stocked. There were no cups, no bath soap, no bath mat, two skimpy towels. Two plugs did not work and the desk lamp did not work. The bathroom floor was dirty. I will not choose this brand again.

  Look elsewhere

  Check-in was ok, not great, just ok. When I walked into my room there was a strong odor of smoke. When I went down and requested a new room there were no apologies, but I was able to get a new room. New room smelled fine and all was well until I turned the A/C on. It was as loud as a dump truck. I'm not joking, it was so loud I downloaded a decibel meter app and got readings of 68.5 sitting in the middle of the bed. To make matters worse, after running for a few minutes I noticed that it was blowing out what looked to be mold spores onto the white bed covering. Overall this seems to be a poorly run hotel and I will look elsewhere for my next trip. On the bright side, the area around the hotel is nice. It's the closest to downtown Jackson I would feel safe staying.

  Terrible

  Hyatt let a customer register using my email address with no validation. So I get all the emails. It's not 1999 anymore, require some validation. I can only imagine how reckless they are with NPI. Beware of Hyatt, I will never stay at one.

  Great service

  The service there was exceptional. The employees moved with a sense of urgency and made me feel as if they wanted to be at work and it was their pleasure to serve me. I have stayed with Hyatt before but the service I received was unmatched. Thank you
