  Great stay

  The Staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating. Room was exceptionally clean and very comfortable. The pool area was very nice, honestly probably better than normal since it was limited to 6 people because of Covid.

  Mediocrity Leads To Issues

  When you're a well-known hotel chain in an area filled with multi-million dollar companies, you need to be great. Hyatt Place at DTC has been great in the past. It has the right vibe in its small lobby and the rooms. However, several items made it feel like the management leaned toward mediocrity. A running toilet is a sign of this. We would need to jiggle the handle to get it to stop. Sometimes, the handle would get stuck, and this lead us to remove the top of the toilet tank to fix it. This is not what hotel guests should need to do. Additionally, they shouldn't have to be concerned about the inner shower liner not working. Normally, these are the length of the curtain itself. Yet, ours barely touched the lip of the tub. The fact Hyatt Place at the DTC might have lost money due to COVID-19 isn't an excuse to have these issues. Each room should be checked by maintenance and housekeeping regularly to fix these items. Two other items pointed to mediocrity. One was the inside of the bathroom door. It battered and chipped -- something that shouldn't be seen by a guest. The other was the room door. It looks like they changed the locking mechanism from the last time we visited. Yet, the screws and imprint from the previous mechanism were still seen. There was no effort to patch them up.

  Vacation Stay

  A decent place to stay. The service was very good, but the room lacked in upgrades (a little run-down). Not much privacy in the small bathroom, but the wet bar was an added convenience along with the living area complete with a couch.

  Great hotel

  We had a great stay! The front desk staff was awesome, very kind and accommodating! Things to note- you have to request housekeeping, make pool reservation day of for 1 hour, same with gym, nice Covid friendly breakfast of fruit/muffin/cereal bar/juice and then you get to pick between cold cereal/oatmeal/yogurt. Also note - they charge $7 a night for parking. Love Hyatt Place and this one did not disappoint for our family of 6!

  Peaceful Place to Recharge

  The people who worked there and took care of our needs were kind, professional and answered any questions I had. The rooms (except for the extremely tight bathroom space) was lovely. The amenities in the room were great, the tv (though it took me a bit to figure out all the stations) had good reception. The room was easy to warm up and/or cool off quickly.
