ParadiseI cant say enough positive things about this resort. My husband and I usually travel to Mexico in February but due to COVID, we opted to take a road trip to Florida. What a great choice. I had rented an AIR B&B which was very disappointing. After losing my deposit and first night stay, we packed up looking for a place to stay. It turned out to be Hutchinson Shores Resort. Ed Griffith is the most amazing general manager . He knew when I arrived I was stressed so he went out of his way to help me with my reservation . The staff are very friendly, the rooms are amazing, as well as the restaurant and beach. We only left the resort a few times otherwise this resort had everything we needed. This will be our winter and fall destination.

BeachfrontThis hotel is chic, modern with fantastic decor. The location on the beach is absolutely perfect. There are two pools one which is perfect for when it is windy. The other pool wasnt so well thought out as it is right off the restaurant with people dining around it. Pool and restaurant service was fantastic. Be aware: no housekeeping due to covid

Nice stay with doggoClean beautiful place. Quality for a fair price. Beach was nice and steps away. Easy to get around. Self park was very close. Plus our dog was allowed. Def would come back again . Food was good for breakfast and lunch. Nice people work there . Definitely Covid-19 attentive and aware .

We wanted to love it... pretty hotel, poor customer serviceWe stayed at the resort for 3 nights to celebrate our daughters 4th birthday. Lets start with the positives: the hotel was very pretty with a coastal chic decor. We got a king oceanfront room and as soon as we opened the door we could see the beautiful ocean right in front of us. The room was nicely decorated and clean and the bed was comfortable. The beach was very nice. There are 2 pools, one is quite small located by the restaurant/bar and it seemed to get a lot of shade. The 2nd pool was a nice size and the common areas were pretty as well. Unfortunately we dont think well be back. In terms of Covid safety all the employees were masked but only about half of them were wearing their masks appropriately. The beach attendants all had masks but below their chins (except for 1 who at times wore it over his nose ). We ran into unmasked guests in the hallways, elevators, lobby etc all the time, it would be great if they actually enforced mask wearing as stated in signs throughout the resort. We felt that customer service was not up to par. Theres nothing I appreciate more than excellent service. Everyone we dealt with ranged from either slightly rude to just ok. Check in was slow. We went straight to the beach and decided to order drinks and food. I asked our server (who was wearing a mask that gaped more than an inch from her face and was below her nose) if she could bring me a mojito but make it light on the agave nectar, she made a face and said ehh they are not even that sweet. Sure enough when it came it was very sweet. We had dinner at drift ( same server with the ill fitting mask) and ordered a bottle of Prosecco which we had to drink in plastic flutes similar to the ones from the dollar store because they dont allow glass in the pool area (the pool is separated from the tables by a fence and steps). Since she couldnt leave the bottle it was painful to finish the bottle since we had to flag her around 10 times to refill our tiny glasses. I ordered the crab crusted grouper. A few min later she tells me they are out and asks what I want instead. I say I need a menu. She comes back a while later and asks if I know what I want ... I say again I need a menu. Finally I ordered the crispy snapper and my husband the pasta carbonara. My meal was soggy and totally bland, no texture, no salt, and so was my husbands pasta.,The crab bisque was ok. The next day we go to the beach again, new server. We order drinks and food. She comes back a little later and asks if we want to close our tab, we say no. She proceeds to tell me I need to give her a credit card if I want to keep ordering, I asked if I could charge it to my room, she insisted on a card. Strange, that didnt happen the day before, and I didnt see other guests being asked for cards. Day 3: we get to the beach early again, spend a few hours there then went to the pool for about an hour and a half. We come back and our umbrella is not there. I asked Ray the beach attendant and he replies that someone apparently took one without paying so they removed all the umbrellas... uhm what? I tell him Im confused, he asks for my room # which I provide, he says he didnt have it before. First of all he did, second if he hadnt asked for it its his fault. He says he now remembers me but couldnt recognize me with the mask, we had this conversation in the morning . No we didnt, my husband was the one who had him set up the umbrella while my daughter and I ate... very bizarre. I could go on but this is very long already.

Good and bad...The majority of the girls at the front desk made us feel like they were doing us a huge favor checking us in or asking a question over the next few days. I complimented 2 girls on their colorful uniform tops and they just looked at me and said nothing. Rude. Whenever we walked through the lobby to get our car, they asked if we were checking out. Nope, no bags should have been a clue. The Check out girl was nice and both guys too. Sunset view rooms look over parking lot or pool. We complained once, late about all the yelling and partying in the pool area. We couldn't sleep. The pool area was nice and we enjoyed sitting out and swimming. Would have been nice to have a waitress at the pool, we would have spent more. The beach was pleasant. Be aware that you cannot use/rent the beach chairs on the one side. Those were saved for the higher end guests. For what we paid, you would think we could sit wherever we wanted. Those chairs remained empty while we were at the few for a few hours.... Umbrellas are extra. The valet parkers were the highlight of the resort. Cheerful, upbeat, helpful and professional. They ALL were a pleasure and the best asset of the resort. We did order and pick up food to go and the restaurant gals at the desk were very nice. The rooms were clean and balcony was nice to have coffee and cocktails on later in the day.
