  Space Camp

  We checked in on Saturday afternoon, I know the virus is taking a toll on the hospitality industry and hotels are working minimum staff, but this hotel is in bad shape. We stayed in the cabanas thinking this was a upgrade since I am a platinum member. NOT IMPRESSED. The beds were uncomfortable plus we had to remake them after turning down the top cover. The mattress cover was all bunched up on both beds. The air conditioner appears to be over sized since it cools the room but does not run long enough to remove the humidity so everything feels damp. In the bath area only one place to hang a towel on one peg. A pretty room but not really functional. Plus no place to hang dirty bags . Towels would not dry. Had to go get new ones. Landscaping is bad shape, grass not mowed, flower beds full of weeds. Swimming pool, water was clear and appears clean but full of dead yellow jackets. Pool itself was in bad physical shape. Personnel were nice, but appeared stressed. This hotel is not up to anywhere near Marriott standards. I highly suggest not staying here.

  Christmas visit

  The hotel is really nice! The rooms have hardwood laminate flooring, which makes the rooms feel much more clean than carpeted rooms. The rooms are a really nice size, the TVs pull out and swivel so you can adjust its position in the room. The staff was very nice and greeted us whenever we passed through the lobby, and Lizzie, who checked us in, was very sweet and made sure our accommodation were met with satisfaction.

  Saturday night stay

  We were not impressed by our one night stay at this Marriott in February 2021. Ive stayed in many other Marriotts and have never had an experience like this. The two staff members working the front desk were not polite to us and in my opinion dont belong in customer service type jobs. The responses I got to my questions were rude and the lady acted annoyed that I asked them. The restaurant at the hotel was understaffed and extremely slow although they were very polite unlike the front desk staff. When we got to our room the heat was not working. Again the person that answered the phone when I called to report it was rude. A maintenance person did come and get it working. I understand that it was a busy weekend for the hotel with the event going on nearby but you would think they would be pleased by the amount of business it brought to the hotel.

  Overnight Stay

  We were greeted by a very friendly front desk associate. Our room was on the 7th floor with a nice view and a balcony. The room was a nice size and we especially enjoyed the TV that was on a swivel bracket. The room was equipped with a fridge but no microwave. Overall we had a pleasant overnight stay and will return when in the area.

  Nice Hotel - Could use some TLC in the Rooms

  Stayed in this hotel the night before a scheduled activity at the US Space and Rocket Center next door. The hotel had great parking out front and the check-in procedure was quick and efficient. The woman working the bar area was very pleasant and very attentive. I had a few beers with friends in the bar lounge area which was comfortable. The rooms were updated and modern, but there were a few issues where panels were exposed and makeshift repairs had been made. I think a manager walk through of each room to identify the obvious issues and have them resolved is warranted. This would earn the hotel the 5th star from me. As it is...4 stars and I will stay here again when my travels bring me to the area.
