  Wellness staff bully ruins lovely stay

  This property and its surrounds are beautiful. But the hotel is charging a four star price for three star service at best. The otherwise delicious food on the breakfast and dinner buffets is not hot. The coffee is terrible. The rooms are small. The customer service is minimal. International customers do not seem welcome as few staff speak English. The small yet well-equipped wellness center could provide the relaxation guests seek if it wasnt overcrowded and patrolled by a bully staffer actually yelling at guests. Thats right, he yelled repeatedly (in Hungarian) at my friend to get out of the designated kiddy pool where she was floating to alleviate her MS symptoms. With absolutely no other children to be seen except my eight year old daughter standing nearby, this man hovered over the pool yelling and lifting his arms for my friend to get out of the pool. He would not walk away until she did. Moving slowly as not to hurt herself caused more yelling. The experience of being denigrated at the wellness spa and paying a hefty room rate to be treated as such, ruined the weekend for us.

  truly stunning hotel in a awesome location

  This stunning palace of a hotel, set in fabulous gardens, on a lake amongst wooded hills, is breathtaking, and my only regret was that our stay was not longer. a group of 45 of us stayed one night here, and we left early so the hotel provided a packed breakfast. Oh why did not we spend a week here relaxing.

  "Dont make me come back twice!" - Said the waiter

  The hotel is in a beautiful location, little bit worn down but still nice. The security and front desk is polite, but the food and service is below average! The waitress in the bar are slow you have to wave them a couple of times to get their attention. Then when we ordered a macchiato they werent clear it is an espresso or latte (both on the menu), when we asked about it, they just said for us is the latte. At dinner the waiter asked me a second after we set down what we would like to drink, I told him we would like a jar of tap water and a bit of time to think, he told me we should order because he doesnt want to come back twice! It was a bit awkward! The soup was tasteless, and lukewarm, it just tasted the food from my elementary school with higher price in a fancy dinner hall. If you want to stay in a nice place in Lillafured, worth the stay, but not the food. Go to the next door for dinner, they are friendly or somewhere else! The hotel's history mentions it was used as a soviet army hospital and they made irreversible changes to the building, yes it happened in the kitchen and in the waiters head...

  Hidden gem in a "Grand Hotel" category settled in th forrest region north-east of Hungary...

  The receptionist provided a great mini-suite with fantastic view to the manicured french garden. The wellness part has ton of saunas, large jacuzzi pool and relaxing benches. Restaurant all-inclusive menu has many choices. Overall experience was great...reasonable cost and unparalleled service...I would highly recommend it...

  Waterfall

  Hotel is closed to the most beautiful waterfall of Hungary, fabulous. Nice hotel with warm interior. At the reception desk the staff is professionel. We had also some problems with some waiters = not reached the 4 star category. Enough choice for breakfast , dinner. Confortable rooms.
