  Hotel familiar muy especial

  Fuimos con mi esposo a finales del mes pasado, estuvimos cuatro noches. El hotel es muy agradable, bien situado, a pocos pasos de todo, se puede ir caminando a la estacion del tren. Esta atendido por los propietarios quienes son una familia, personas muy cordiales y serviciales. El cuarto comodo, limpio y acogedor. El internet es gratis y sin contratiempos, El desayuno muy completo, mas de lo esperado. Solo tengo dos sugerencias, la llave es metalica y entregan una sola, y en la ducha es dificil mezclar el agua caliente con la fria.

  Nice

  Real nice, good family run place with a great breakfast and perfect centrally located. Our room was clean, spacious enough with a nice bathroom. Hotel carpark nearby for 8,50 a day or 8 a day at the general carpark

  Cute, homey local hotel...

  Hulsman is a cute little hotel that is family owned and operated. We appreciated the generous breakfast buffet spread and central location. A couple of things to keep in mind. First, the beds are pretty soft, which isn't necessarily for everyone. We would have preferred a stiffer mattress but what can you do. Second, a lot of people we gather come to Valkenburg for nightlife, drinking, etc. Hulsman is a little quiet in this respect. They have a lovely pub/lounge area, but we never saw more than one or two people partaking...while other hotels in town were hopping with activity. This of course is a plus if you want to hit the sack early (we did!), but may not be your thing if you want to party. Finally, this is kind a no-frills establishment. Everything was perfectly fine, just not "posh". We were totally fine with this given the price, but if you want a nicer getaway, you might want to explore elsewhere. All this said, we'd definitely return the next time we're in Valkenburg!

  Good hotel

  Stay'd over for one night to do a 150km cycle ride the next day. Fairly basic family owned hotel in the center of Valkenberg close to loads of restaurants. Bed was comfortable enough and the bathroom clean. However, the water from the shower drained very slowly so, one ended up standing in ankle deep water! Room was warm during the night so I opened the windows just to be kept awake by all the late night revelers! Breakfast was served quite late but I did manage to sneak in at 08:00 to grab a quick bite! The breakfast spread did look adequate. Next time, I'll definitely choose an hotel a little further from the town center.

  Castle Ruins Right Around the Corner

  This is a charming hotel right near the center of Valkenburg and just a short walk from all the shops and restaurants. We arrived early from our flight into Amsterdam and check-in was not until 2 p.m. But the owner took pity on us and found us a room right away. Our room was small but had everything we needed. We had a big comfortable bed, storage cupboard, desk/work area, and a sparkling clean bathroom with a rain shower. Parking is at another hotel just a short walk away and cost 8.50 Euro per night. We were able to unload our luggage close to the hotel and park the car. The owner helped us with it and then she took it up to our room in the elevator. Yes! An elevator. No hauling heavy bags up long staircases. A beautiful and generous breakfast came with our room. It was a great way to start the day! We are so happy we found this wonderful hotel with it's kind and generous owners.
