    Very disappointed

£130 for one night in the smallest double room we've ever stayed in! Right at the top of the B&B house up 3 flights of stairs, it was a small loft room with a single wardrobe, 2 oversized chairs, dressing table with a small TV on it, a mini fridge on the floor & a very small roof windows that only opened a few inches which looked over a small flat room full of fag ends & rubbish. The shower room was very tiny with a plastic concertina door. The room smelt dirty & was stifling hot. One night was enough for us. Would we recommend The Hudson. ..... no! Would we return to The Hudson next time we are in Brighton ....... no!

    Quite sleep

A greatly located central place in Brighton to be in the heart of this town and a short walk to the beach and attractions. This lovely family hotel has a warm welcome and the room is well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. Would recommend this hotel for your stay.

Great location, warm and kind owner

I arrived soaking wet and immediately felt at home as the owner kindly offered me towels etc to dry off. The room was cozy, small bathroom but great for the price. Clean sheets and towels. As we weren't driving the lack of parking wasn't an issue. Some lovely wee cafes, bars and restaurants within a five minute walk so breakfast isn't a worry. Our room was on the ground floor beside the front door so there was a bit of noise as people came and went at all hours but it wasn't too intrusive. Definitely great value!

    Great Place to Stay

We only stayed for one night, but would definitely use again for the same. Yes, Yes, Yes........ some of the furniture is a little tired, our room was on the chilly side (electric heater supplied). But it was clean, position in town is great. She sells parking permits for £10 which lasts for 24 hours, we was lucky to get a space outside the digs.

    quirky but great

a charming, original little guest house. Nicely furnished room, in a style that was a little quirky and very "unhotelchain". Check-in was efficient, and the lady there in the morning was friendly and helpful. Nice front room with Beatles and Jagger posters. Double glazing good, so good night's sleep. The bathroom was petite, but perfectly adequate. In the evening the hot water took a while to appear, but, provided you run the taps for a while, it always comes. It's in a good position, too. I recommend.
