  Superb

  Spent Easter weekend here, fantastic. Rooms were lovely, big and clean. Buffet breakfast was great, plenty of choice and well cooked. Eat in the restaurant and the food was very good. All the staff were very helpful and friendly. No car park but no problem parking in the street .

  What can I say about the Mereside Hotel very place great

  Bedroom good food staff were very helpful the Downside to it is there is no parking you have to find Somewhere in the street and I am slightly disabled So this was difficult . Good job my husband isnt . We wouldnt stay there again for that reason also There isnt a lounge you can have a drink outside if The weather is good but it wasnt. Although the breakfast was good I wouldnt Pay twelve pound fifty. For it But it was part of the room rate.Deltha McNerlin

  Excellent staff

  We had a week at the Mereside, the room was very good, comfortable and a lovely clean bathroom. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. A good breakfast which set us up for the day. The restaurant food was of a good standard but a limited choice meant we ate out a couple of nights, because the restaurant/bar is open to the public they leave the doors to the front patio area open which made sitting in the restaurant very cold. It would be OK on a barmy summer's evening but not in September when the evenings are starting to go cooler. It would also be nice to have a better lounge area.

  Another great visit

  Arrived on Wednesday evening had a lovely meal rib eye steak with chunky chips, mushrooms and salad with a pint thrown in. I had to drive around to get to the hotel due to extensive road works right along the prom I eventually parked on the prom a short stroll away its NOT the hotels fault and once again I enjoyed my visit lovely room great meal. I left early on Thursday morning but grabbed some cereal and toast, juice and a coffee everything is just perfect here Ill be back in May. Thanks again.

  Great place to stay

  Booked a staycation deal.... Really recommend this place. Room was clean spacious and comfy... Dinner at HQ was yummy and included in the price Breakfast was lovely (though couldn't enjoy as too hungover). Staff were lovely and welcoming.
