  Great Bed!

  Howard Johnson Tianzhu Plaza Fuyang is not far from airport- almost a straight shot from airport to hotel. The bed is great. I have two night sleep and enjoy the bed. Large Samsung TV with English Channels. Breakfast has many selection and the chef can speak English.

  5 Stars - Fuyang's Only World Class Hotel! Westin & Hyatt's got nothing on this location!

  Greetings Fellow Travelers, First, I must admit that when my wife informed me we were staying at a 'HoJo' upon our arrival in Fuyang, Anhui, China, Anyone from the Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Kansas, United States geography would certainly was not excited about this news. Hopefully you've paid attention to our above overall 5 Star rating. We are listing some of some of our experiences at this location, and why we are making this recommendation to our fellow travelers. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION: This facility location is close enough to downtown Fuyang, Train/Rail, Airport, and all of Fuyang City's local area attractions. Additionally, there is a brand new 'Wanda Plaza' that is going in [being constructed] right diagonally across intersection from this Howard Johnson location. When this is completed, this is going to be an even more sot after location, due to the additional availability and proximity of businesses which can fulfill other consumer wants and needs. ROOM CLEANLINESS: Some may call me 'OCD' (not really), because I like a CLEAN Bathroom, Shower, Carpet, Room (getting the gist of where this is going?). We were not disappointed. Not just the sleeping rooms and flooring is clean, but the entire facility seems spotless, and I have been to their Swimming Pool, In-house Fitness Area (which is great), Restaurant, and their upper deck 'Afternoon Tea' gig. All of them were exceptionally clean and tidy. So, if you really are OCD, then you'll be able to relax in this facilities environment and surroundings. BED COMFORT / SLEEP QUALITY: First, let me say that I am not bashing the Westin Hotel brand. What I can tell you from sleeping at this specific Howard Johnson location is that the beds at this Howard Johnson location is without a shadow of a doubt as good as any 'Westin Heavenly Bed' (as they call their). Furthermore, it is a rarity to hear any street/city noise. In fact, the only sound that I ever could hear from my room (12th Flr.) was the very faintly sound of a very large Freight Truck - which I only heard twice during our entire stay. WiFi To some fellow travelers, you may care less of the quality and strength of the in-house WiFi. However, to others, this may be of the utmost importance. So, here is the low down. At some points during our various stays at this specific location, we had a minimum of four, and sometimes perhaps up to eight separate WiFi dependent devices going at the same time. Even in these situations, the in-house/room WiFi speed was acceptable (even by Western Standard), consistent, and reliable. IN-HOUSE RESTRAUANT: I have eaten both in the Restaurant, including the Sunday buffet, and it is excellent, especially for not being in the Western Hemisphere. The 'Afternoon Tea' is also nice, but for what is available, it isn't one of my favorites. ADDITIONAL IN-HOUSE ACTIVITIES: There are lots of scheduled events, banquets, weddings, et cetera that are held at this location. During our previous stay, there was a Chinese Wedding which my wife, and I attended, which was pretty cool to witness. All of these would stand up to any 5 Star facility located anywhere globally. GUEST SERVICES & ADDITIONALAMENITIES: a). In room, there is Tea / Coffee that is available for 'self use' twenty-four - seven. So, if you are a Coffee and/or Tea, then you have an ample supply for in room use, and if you run out, then pick up your room telephone, and request for housekeeping to delivery more. b). Now, if by chance that you are feeling lazy, and you do not wish to make your own Coffee/Tea refreshment(s), then there is a Coffee Bar on the 1st Floor immediate to the left of the main entrance. They make an excellent Frappuccino and Carmel Latte. c). Free Intranet Services for In-house Guests d). Daily Newspaper e). Free Access to Fitness Center f). Free Parking for your Automobile g). Free Late 'Check-out' until 16:00 Hours (4 pm) - which is subject to availability. h). Access to HoJo Club on the 23rd Floor - which their hours of operation is 6:30 - 23:00 hours, and closes for cleaning between meals. Therefore check by telephone, in the event that you are in a time slot where you are not certain whether a 'Serving Time', or not. i). Room Service - all I can say is TRY THE HOJO HAMBURGER! You will not be disappointed. j). In honor of the British's 300 Year Old Tradition of Tea Drinking, on a daily basis at this locations 23rd Floor, from 14:00 - 16:30 [2 - 4:30], this HoJo offers a very nice 'Tea Time', with varieties such as, Dajiling, Earl, Gray, & Ceylon, served along side a variety of delicious cookies and deserts, cream puffs, chocolates, et cetera. k). Two (2) hour complimentary use of Executive Lounge Conference Room (best to make a reservation in advance). l). Complimentary Printing / Copies - Up to Ten (10) pages at Executive Lounge m). Complimentary City Of Fuyang Tourist & Traffic Map n). In Room Snack Bar o). In Room Safe LOCATIONS LEVEL OF SERVICE: We have not made a tremendous number of service requests. However, to this facilities credit, even though my wife speaks native, fluent Chinese, all of our requests were made in English. This facility never missed a beat, and our requests were handled swiftly and with a great delivery attitude. In summary, here is the bottom line. Between my wife and I, we have slightly over 57 years of international travel as adults. Regardless of where you are from, if you truly are seeking the highest level Hotel, service with a smile, great Eastern & Western cuisines, a hotel location to host an event where just the setting will make a lasting impression with all of the meeting attendees and guest, and then at the end of the day, ultimately, an extremely comfortable bed where you tell yourself, "I'll just lay here a moment", but as soon as you do, then you realize the bed is going to put you to sleep, and all of this is in a nice quiet environment, then this is the location for which you are seeking.
