A quick stayFor the price and location of everything, traveling by myself, it was GREAT. The breakfast was defintely the best part of it. Plenty of selection! The rooms were completely outdated, but the beds were comfortable enough.

NEEDS MAINTENENCEhotel needs updated bad. got to the room and the entry light did not work, the toilet would not flush, and we were short a wash cloth. I'm sure the hotel was nice back in the day, the furnishings were very out of date.

Not worth itLiterally the absolute only reason I ever stay here because it's cheap. But I honestly think next time I'll be finding somewhere else that's just as cheap, because even at only $60 it was not worth it.

Weekend Get AwayWe tayed the weekend, Loved the deco style lobby and the clean and fresh room with a beautiful view. The near by restaurants added to our stay with variety. The hotel staff was wonderful, helpful and added to our stay by helping load in and out with smiling faces and attitudes.

A sad stay at a once wonderful hotelWhen this hotel was a Hilton, many years ago, I stayed here twice and had wonderful experiences. I was warned by many locals about just how much this hotel has deteriorated. It needs a LOT of work, but the worst part of my stay (Nine nights) was dealing with the staff. Quite a few days I had the Maid service card on my door and received NO service. When I asked, they said they were understaffed. Really? You admit that? I was also told that the Maid Service card had to be out before 9 AM, because that would be when my floor would be serviced. After that they would not come back. The breakfast was spotty to say the least, and some mornings not fully stocked. I was told that it ended at 10 AM and it somehow changed it to 9:30. At one point, my first night, I had the TV turned up - not even thinking that the walls are paper thin. The "manager" came up to my room (no phone call to ask me to turn it down first) and was very negative and mean and at first accused me of having some kind of wild party in my room and disturbing the other guests. When I explained that it was the TV and I would turn it down, she threatened me with arguing with her and throwing me out of the hotel. Whew! The light and radio by the bed didn't work and the light in the bathroom went out while I was there and it took a day to get it replaced. The phone barely worked with lots of static, and sometimes even no dial tone. The chair at the desk looked like it was 50 years old and was really ragged. I could go on, but I think you get the picture. The city has made arrangements for two more hotels downtown, partly because of the terrible reports on this hotel. Sure too bad.
