Terrible hotelI came here with my family for special occasion. However, here is huge disappointment. The facility looks great in the pictures but actually no. On the top of that the room is very dirty and not so well designed for comfortable stay. I will not recommend my friends to come this hotel.

Excellent hotel and surroundsThis was my second visit. The hotel ground was, unfortunately, under maintenance. However, the weather was fine and I managed to take some nice pictures of sunset and of sunrise. The hotel is nice, offering spacious living areas and splendid views from the 2nd block (where I stayed on both occasions). One could view the beach and sunrise from the front balcony and sunset from the rear balcony. The 2nd block has the best orientation with the front facing East and the rear facing West. It is a 5-star hotel offering excellent buffet meals. Walking to the front beach takes about 5 minutes. To take good pictures of sunset at the rear one could go up to the 30th floor of the 2nd block; there is a small balcony overlooking the farm ponds (for raising prawns). At sunset the pond reflections are beautiful; they change colors as the sun sets. As one travels to Shuangyue Bay (where the resort is), one passes over the Huizhou Haiwan Bridge. I like to take pictures of the bridge (with its orange steel cables) from the rear of the tour bus. It is important to go there on a sunny day, for viewing sunrise and sunset.

Perfect rooms, nice serviceThe hotel is really great, its have all the facilities you need for a short holiday! The rooms are fantastic, They are big, its clean have many big showers which are working great, and a tub on the balcony. We have stayed on the 25th floor which gives a great view at the beach and the swimming pools! The hotspring is also very nice and comfortable! I would certainly go again, only I will go during the week time instead of the weekend! There are just to many people in the weekend! Dont forget to visit the skybar its nice spot to have a drink and get the view For kids its a amazing place as well! The dinner is good, a big variations of food! There is also a noodle restaurant for a quick bite during the afternoon. Finally its a great place.

Probably the best property in the town but not up to par for international guests.Yes it is an international chain, a Howard Johnson Sandalwood hotel. Yes its designer is somewhat known. The resorts appearance does look quite nice, the lobby is wide , opened and pretty. For a moment I thought i was in Danang's Intercontinental Hotel, but this feeling did not last long. The property is huge. There are 5 different towers if i recall properly. One is for residents , two for rooms , and one for the hot spring. The rooms are spacious and I have nothing to complain about it , the balcony has its own private hot spring tub which was amazing. View was nice too, facing the beach! Beds were comf and we paid around 1200 RMB / night on a Sunday night. Public hot spring facility - there are at least 10 different tubs each with a different scent, outdoors , very nice. Its the people, the service and the maintenance that is the problem. Dinner was buffet, and the chinese mentality towards buffet has lack of etiquette. People take two plates and take as much food as they can and bring it back to their tables, when you line up after the bunch of hungry guests you'll probably have 3 shrimps left from the counter to get food. It felt like it was a free meal and everyone has been starving for months. I didn't have appetite seeing the crowd and the food. Although i must say there was a big variation of food selection. Limited alcohol though. Staffs aren't really well trained, at least not to international standard. They dont really know what they are doing, serving, they lack motivation and just simply dont' care. Hotel bar isn't very good either. although nice view. The location is seriously in the middle of no where. Hui Zhou is a newly developed town and a lot of upcoming residential buildings. But the surrounding at the moment are just farms and roads. You can't get here without a car. Theres no convenient store nearby either. You must speak Chinese if not you wont' survive. I tried so hard to call a cab to send me back to Shenzhen the next day, I ended up paying 700 RMB. If i called the hotel car service it would cost me 1000 rmb. To be honest, I did not enjoy my stay at all although it was a nice sleep and good bath in my balcony. The guests who goes there are mainly Chinese people from nearby cities/ towns. The neighborhood isn't developed yet and there aren't enough facilities within the property to fully satisfy guests. I wouldn't recommend this and I would not come back. But if you're stuck in China or near by Hui zhou and would like to have a simple getaway, this could be your choice. I'd prefer to go to Hai Nan Island x 100 times.

Perfect place and perfect staffOne of the best Hotel in the area. Rooms are Seaview with Jacuzzi on the big balcony. The pool are open during all year and if cold there are the polls in the Hot Spring. Breakfast good, nice afternoon tea at 3pm with singers, big buffet in the evening with nice manager Wendy so kind with us. Thanks for the managers Winni and William to satisfy our requests and Kiki for making us visiting different rooms before check in. We will come back for sure but I always suggest to avoid weekends as I usually do.
