  Howard Johnson Yingkou

  Howard Johnson Yingkou is the first international Hotel in Yingkou. Rooms are ok. Restaurants are offering chinese food and Buffet. The staff has very limited access to the English language. The bar ist mostly closed. Centre of Yingkou is 12 km away. Basically no Taxis available. The Gym is equipped with 4 machines. All in all a poor choice. ..but probably the best you can get in Yingkou.

  Luxury for loners...

  A beautiful boutique hotel with superb interior and cleanliness. Once you enter the only word you can say "Woh..." Good english speaking staff, elegant reception area, quick formalities. Rooms are furnished superb and bathroom with a bathtub and separate shower. Tea kettle, coffee, complementary bottle of water and for businessman a super fast wifi for free. In room service is very prompt. Beautiful Chinese and western breakfast and tasty too. No spa or club. Bar is poor.Merely opens on request. The area is very isolated from the city and shopping are. A nearby empty golf course. Absolutely nothing..no locality close by. May be 1 hour walking can take you near some locality. US$ 50-65 including breakfast is a paradise for the loners.

  Empty hotel with minimal facilities

  The Howard Johnson is quite a nice hotel in terms of construction. It is however stands alone in the middle of an empty area with not much and it. The lobby was cold and there were almost no guest stood. They did not even have lights on in many areas so it was kind of spooky. For example I had breakfast and for the engineer hour I only saw 2 other guests. My room was cold as the Windows insulation is not great and it was -12C outside.They did bring me a space heater which made it ok. The staff speaks minimal English. Stay here if you have business very close by but I would recommend going you another hotel more in town
