  newly renovated, comfortable

  Basically very clean, newly renovated in it's own way, we had a quality sleep. However, the aircond was very slow to chill the room it took up to 10-15mins to actually feel the desired temperature. The sink was not sufficient where its stopper was not working, we couldn't find the drain handle. It took overnight to drain the retained water. Shower was okay, it's just that the warm water could lose its warmth temp after awhile when taking bath so we had to adjust the faucet like 2-3 times for each usage. But still I would consider to stay here again. Hard to find such nice room within budget rates

  Excellent value in a great location.

  Houz Inn is a very clean, comfortable budget hotel in an excellent location near the riverfront and the centre of Bintulu. The bathrooms and linen are spotlessly clean...there are some scuffs on the walls and a little peeling paint however. There is a flat screen TV, decent air con and the Wifi is very good most of the time. The staff were very friendly and helpful...they arranged a good taxi driver to take me to Similijau National Park and stored some luggage while I was away overnight. Note that it is cheaper to book through Agoda than to walk in.
