  Near perfection

  As always a good and well-appointed apartment is better than a hotel. House of Fisher would be perfection if it just provided two more things. (1) Some coffee-making facility like a cafetiere or a percolator. Imagine my disappointment and finding just instant coffee sachets. (2) Some space for my toiletries. Instead all I have a small area in the sink, which gets soaked when I use the sink. Some sort of caddy or shelf in the shower would be good too. Where do I put down my bar of soap, shampoo or shower gel? On the floor! C'mon guys, did you test-drive your own apartments before asking guests for their feedback? Your are your own best feedback! And UHT milk? Really? Eeugh!

  Give this place a miss

  I* usually stay at another House of Fisher hotel and have found them excellent, however this place leaves a lot to be desired. The air conditioning unit makes so much noise it was impossible to sleep. It created resonant hot spots in both the lounge area and bedroom the noise became intolerable. The wall unit controls had no effect so you had to remove the keycard to switch it off. However this meant there was then no heating so the room got very cold overnight. Once the room was quiet you then had to cope with the noise fromthe gymnasium below. The thuimp thump from the running machines going until 2 o clock in the morning then starting up again at 5:30. This is definetly a place to avoid if you are a light sleeper. I complained at 1 o clock in the morning but could not be moved until the following day. However since I could not guarentee that I would get a quiet room I decided to leave a day early. I will not go back there again.

  Superb!

  My company has had a few months work in Reading and we always use hotels. This time we decided to use apartments instead and are so glad we found House of Fisher, Kings Road Reading. Everything about these apartments are fantastic. Beautifully styled, cosy, well equipped kitchens, comfortable beds and SKY SPORTS! The air conditioning was an added bonus. The reservation team has been excellent and I couldn't have asked for more, nothing is too much trouble. I have noticed that House of Fisher have numerous other sites and have already used Central Gate, Newbury which is also excellent. A great experience all round and highly recommended.

  Perfect for the Business man or as a base for touring

  Used this facility for a business trip and the service and facilities were exceptional. The hotel staff were amazingly accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. The standard of the apartment was outstanding and the facilities immaculately clean.

  Great place to stay

  Great place to stay. Close to town, great team, and very convenient overall. AC is a really convenient for summer, and there is a terrace onsite perfect to eat quick lunch on the sun away from the crowds
