  Good clean hotel

  Stayed for one night whilst on business. The room was a good size and was very clean. There was a powerful shower and mini bar for those who like a night time tipple. The bar served good food and the beer was great.

  Ok but everything is extra

  The Hotel is located a little bit outside the city centre, but we are talking small town here so not really that important, all the more annoying that the hotel charges 4 Euro a day to leave your car in an empty car park. There is no parking restrictions in surrounding streets so this little charge is just another add on to the already high room prices. On top of that is the 12 euro charge for a mediocre continental buffet breakfast per person per day. If you are travelling on business and are accustomed to finding a trouser press or iron in your room (standard all over the world) forget it. Can you ring concierce and get one? NO, apparently your only option is to pay the in house laundry service, but if it's a weekend that's not available. Check in lacked service, no information was given about breakfast times, hotel car park charging, the swimming pool or localities. It was all: "please fill out this form and here is your key". That's not good enough, in fact it's terrible. The spa is a nice touch and definitely worth a visit, although if you want to use it on a Monday morning, it's not available as it's rented out to the do medical rehab treatment. Overall there is nothing special about this hotel and the hotel very much lacks a four-stars 'professional cut'. I am not a big fan of sprang on extra charges which are fine for budget accommodation and to be expected but this place isn't a budget hotel, so having to pay extra for things you expect to be included at the price of 150 euro and above for one night.

  basically nice with good breakfast (12 - very expensive) but

  In the Studio not enough power sockets, you have to unplug some lights. No light switch at the bed other then for the bed side light (you have to get up for the room light). Took me a while to find the light switch for the nice kitchenette. Bathroom very small. No blinds in the room and only very thin curtains, train passing fairly near. No private area on the balcony, everybody can walk from outside right to the door.

  Quite clean hotel with excellent breakfast 2.5kms from the town centre

  We only stayed one night as part of our bicycle tour in Thuringia (Thüringen) so our "Brewery" rooms were chosen by the tour operator. As the name suggests there is actually an onsite brewery which they claim is probably the oldest wheat beer brewery in Germany, Naturally their beer is available in large quantities! The hotel-restaurant complex is 2.5kms from the town centre by car and 2kms by foot. The room was modern with comfortable double bed, desk with chair, armchair, minibar. TV and a computer tablet with hotel info plus internet access. WiFi was also available. No tea making facilities. There was a large cupboard with good storage space. The bathroom had a bath with shower. But no lift in this building. However "superior" rooms are available in a building with lift. Worth paying the extra if you have heavy bags! The buffet breakfast was exceptionally good in both the choice and quality of the food. (see photos). The hot food offered was bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and mini pancakes. We also took dinner in the Winter Garden which was very good, quick and delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful and apart from no lift, a very good hotel-restaurant indeed.

  Dinner with friends

  We went there with seven people total in the evening. The place was pretty crowded but the waitress found us a nice place. Food was good and the drinks came in short time. Because it was so crowded we had to wait a little longer than normal but the waitress kept us informed that it will take a little longer. To summarize.....we had a nice evening there as always. You can get there typical food of the region and also some regional beer. The price was adequate for the good quality. We will come back again as we did for this evening.
