  Never ever again!!

  We have stayed here in a "family room" with 2 adults and 2 young children. The maximum room size is 2 persons, and you can have only a room with an interconnecting corridor between 2 rooms. We had to leave our children in their sleeping room or we had to choose to sleep separate from each other. We complaint on a daily basis and eventually we did not get any compensation when we checked out earlier. Very very bad and not suitable for children at all. Showers of both rooms were broken and did not get fixed. The dinner is very poor, when there are too less people you can have a-la-carte. In the last case its better to skip dinner at all because you cannot call that food. Breakfast buffet is okay. Swimming pool is extremely cold and not recommendable. Don't book this hotel at all, very bad choice. Employees do not even speak English!!

  Nice staff, great breakfast, ok hotel but worst internet connection ever.

  I would have easily given 4 stars to this place if it weren't for their internet connection from hell. No joke, it runs at the same speed as my first dial-up connection back in the early nineties. A very very large part of their visitors is here for business and all are complaining. It has to change fast or businesses around will look elsewhere. In fact, I am using my roaming just to type this message, because their internet can't handle this. I hope to see a change soon.

  A pleasant short break at Westerwald Treff

  As we relied on sat nav to get us to the hotel we experienced a little problem, we used the address on the web site " In Der Huth 1, Oberlahr",this address does not register in the nav so we used obelahr as the target the hotel is tucked away in the "bush" off the main road we made a few circuits before we found it. Speaking to the receptionist about our little problem she advised that the correct input for navigation is- 56593 Burdenbach, In Der Huth 1 as shown on their promotional brochures, we pointed out that the web page needed amending. However now to our stay, on arrival we were upgraded to a comfort room, nice and large, easy chairs, writing desk flat screen tv, telephone and assorted standard lamps and pictures on the wall, very cosy . The room appeared have been recently redecorated and the large stenciled murals on the walls were a nice touch. The bathroom with shower and hair dryer was rather small, but then visits are short so not an inconvenience (no pun intended). The food was good, particularly breakfast which would cover all requirements from fry-up to cereals. The staff in all areas were polite and helpful at all times, the receptionist made every effort to confer in English which was helpful due to our lacking in German. The solarium and swimming pool are free to use however we did not make use of them. there is a small bar near the reception area, there is also a Kegel Ban (not to be confused with 10 pin bowling). We found the hotel very clean and well ordered, no complaints. There is very little in the way of attractions away from the hotel (in fact none), but there is ample opportunity for walks to keep you fit. We stayed on a half board basis and found the Stube next door handy for midday snacks and drinks. On the Sunday when there are fewer guests the evening meal is served here, on other days the meals are in the main restaurant buffet style, onthese occasions the lady who we assume was the head of services toured the dining room speaking with guest about their stay, nice touch All in all we enjoyed our stay, In future we will probably find an hotel in a more central location, ie. shops, cafes and a bit of sight seeing. We would recommend this hotel to those who like walking or cycling in a nature area.

  Mala calidad de servicio,

  mucha espera , para motoristas no adecuado , ya que prefieren o dan la sensación de preferir otra clase de turismo. nos dejaron esperar y comimos de pie en la barbacoa , otras motos aparcaron donde nos correspondía y reservado estaba . etc...

  Keine Deutsche grundlichkeit

  To expensive. Stayed here 3 nights with a big family(+20 persons) half pension. First 2 dinners were understaffed. Only at the first night was dinner satisfactory. There is very little choice at dinner. There was no fish at any night. Breakfast is slightly below average. Facilities are good. Bathroom is to small and outdated. Room is ok at first sight but a lot of stains on the paint at second sight. There were sockets in the room that didn't work. We couldn't turn the heat off so our window was open the whole time.
