  Nice Hotel very welcoming

  We stayed for 4 nights at the Balajan. The hotel is on the main road from Sete to Monpellier, a little way outside Frontignan. We were made very welcome, the resturant is very good, breaklfast was good, our room was a little small for four nights we put this down to the fact we wanted a twin room but got a room with three beds. Pool was nice and we enjoyed our stay in the area, the beach is not far away and Frontignan is a nice town.

  Visit this restaurant, excellent value for your money

  This is a review of only the restaurant and not the hotel. We have been visiting this hoteliere over the years many times and the restaurant is very well worth a visit. The locals know this since all tables were taken when we arrived for a Sunday lunch. You can choose both a la carte and menue. One for 28 and the more expensive for 34 euro. We took the one for 28 and we were not dissapointed. The starter for me was the gesier-salad and this is the place where I have started to enjoy this dish. Well worth the money. The main course was contrebeef with pepper. Well prepared !

  Celebrating 50 years in 2016 without changing a lot

  Once, this hotel must have been state to the art 3 star hotel. But this was a long time ago. Rooms are old, very old. This is not what you should expect for the number of stars it shows. This hotel is outdated and needs urgently a total fresh-up. The restaurant was much better. Fiendly personell and good food, maybe the best 'contrefilet' I ever had in France. Breakfast was french average and that is nog very good. Wifi pour, very pour. They say because they are at the end of the line... Have my doubts.
