  The pretty hotel in Visby beautiful town

  This hotel is in middle of Visby, 15minutes walk from the ferry terminal, convinience for sightseeing old town. There is a small supermarket 3 minutes and big one 10 minutes walk from the hotel. The staff at a reception was very smily. She is so kind that lent me a plug adupter free. The single guestroom was just about big enough, pretty and kept cleen. You can see beautiful scernary with red rooves of houses in old town from the window.

  Nice little hotel with character

  It's laying inside the citywall and it is very cosy. You go in and feel good! The staff is very friendly and the breakfast is perfect! They have everything you want in a good quality - even tea from "Kränku"! And they have an elevater. Good for heavy suitcases! The hotel hasn't a parking place but outside the citywall is a hugh one. It's 200-300 m from the hotel. It's nice to take a walk to the nice little restaurants in the city. It's 5 till 10 min. to walk.

  Charming, delightful hotel with superb service!

  I stayed here for two nights and fell in love with both the town and this lovely hotel. The front desk staff, Jennie, was waiting when I arrived in the afternoon and immediately knew my name. She was warm and helped me get oriented immediately. The room itself is so charming and so well laid out. Loved it. It can get a little warm so crack the window open if you get hot. Only odd bit was that there were no curtains on the windows so you could see people walking down the hill, no big deal though. My room was in the back on an upper floor, but still on Mellangatan; it was quiet. I had to catch the 7 am ferry on my last day and they left me breakfast in the fridge the night before!! How amazing is that? I was floored. Highly recommend this hotel, friendly helpful staff, lovely room with charm, great location, I only wish I could've stayed here longer!

  Good and option. Could improve in the future!

  All in all A good and relatively cheap option in Visby within the inner walls. Everything was within walking distance which was very pleasant especially in the cold month of March. The room was cozy enough for the price. Also, the receptionist was friendly and we really appreciated the email before our arrival welcoming us to the hotel and offering assistance for our next day's check in regarding the code and card etc. However, we must point out some things that could improve in the future and be more attentive to the guests' needs. 1. Breakfast They could have had vegan options at breakfast since it was included in the price we paid. It was very annoying that they had very few vegan options. The only thing we could eat was fruit that was used as decoration next to the cheese as well as cereals with no milk nor yogurt as well as some bread and olives. It did not feel right when the rest of the guests had a vast majority of food options to choose from. The thing that stroke us the most was that they had 5 different kinds of cow yogurt but no vegan option in sight. 2. Our room was not so couple friendly. For couples, a double bed is a must! But we were given two twin beds instead. We tried to sleep on the twin beds by pushing them next to each other but it was impossible not to slide in the space in between the beds. Therefore, we had to attach the beds with an extra belt we had which is suboptimal, to say the least. Also, it would have been nice to have two chairs instead of one when we wanted to eat in our room since it was supposedly made for two guests. 3. Decoration was off by one painting. It was very weird to have a modern painting saying London with red telephone booths as centre piece. It was completely off compared to the overall design and old feeling of the room. We were in Gotland, and it would have been much nicer if we there was an old painting or something representative of the island or Visby itself. 4. No available lounge area after 16.00 or 14.00 *during the Easter holiday break I do not know who is responsible for this but it would have been nice to have a lounge area in the hotel. After 16.00 or 14.00 *during the Easter holiday break when the personnel at the reception leaves, the hotel seems to be on a lockdown and we did not have access to the lounge or another place other than our room which was a bit disappointing. We did have coffee and tea available but since that was situated in front of the heavy locked reception door, we had to use the light torch on our phones to be able to see what we were doing when boiling water and preparing coffee. Conclusion Some of our points above may seem too much but we did stay at the hotel for 4 days so these things matter even more when the stay is not just for a one-night sleepover and quick breakfast. In any case we would come back especially if we knew that we could have a proper vegan breakfast and not have to tie up the beds together.

  Cozy hotel perfectly situated

  We went here for two nights, the room was cozy and perfectly situated right in the center of Visby, close to everything we wanted to do in Visby, after a night out it was very quiet and nice at the hotel. There was some mishap with the room when we arrived, but the staff immediately and very charmingly compensated us right away.
