  Just bearable

  I used this hotel for a overnight stop rooms smelt a bit stale as if people had smoked in them the toilet and shower are communal which were self cleaning. A bit noisy outside as there is no air con so the window was left open. There's a smoking area directly outside which was the cause of the noise. On the plus side there is secure parking you need a code to get in and out.

  It is what it is

  Secure parking - bonus, not everywhere includes this. The reception gives a good overall of what an F1 is all about, staff were sat outside smoking, not a great first impression but the staff were helpful and pleasant. We used this as an overnighter before the gates opening for camping at Le Mans track. Rooms were basic but clean. Wasn't keen on communal toilets and showers but it was only for one night and these were clean. Free wifi was included. The walk around the lake was very nice. Wouldn't rush back to the restaurant just in front of the F1, but it was we were only there overnight it had to do.

  Hotel while racing at lemans

  Cheap and cheerful, rooms did smell of stale smoke, ideal for lads having a week away racing at lemans and somewhere to get your head down. Communal self cleaning showers and toilets are ok always seems to clean themselves after use. I wouldn't book this hotel if i was travelling with the mrs. The lake opposite is nice and peaceful there is also a man made beach if you follow it round to the left out the hotel gates. Perfect to sit and drink a few beers with the lads.

  Outstanding value

  2 rooms for 31 euros each is excellent value for money. The rooms were clean and we had requested no smoking so no bad smells of any sort. The location is great as a stop off on the way to Calais from southern France. Lovely lake with beach and swimming area and good food right on the doorstep. This is a place to rest your head after a long drive. Would recommend every time.

  Not family friendly

  If there is four of you, you will have to book 2 rooms as we discovered getting there late at night. Have used the room with double and single bed in before where my two small children share the single, was not aloud on this accession as they would be a security risk?? Really?? Would not use again, well can't as there is four in my family! Beds really uncomfortable too
