  Perfect stay!

  Spent three nights here at height of summer; our Austrian friends had chosen it for us so we had the benefit of their local knowledge. We had one of the new rooms, furnished in a crisp, modern, minimalist style. Shower room was a good size, plenty of wardrobe space. Missed having a kettle for a cup of tea but not sure if that's the done thing in Austria. Breakfast was plentiful - meats, cheese, pastries etc. Sabine, the hotel owner, seemed to be lurking round every corner making sure everything ran like clockwork. Would definitely go back.

  good lake side hotel

  Good hotel, but take care you do not have any soap in the bath room. When we asked, they said they are only 3 star hotel ?!... no comment. Rooms are ok, clean, balconies over view the lake if you are on the lake-side. excelent dinner we had for our group, and breakfast ok.

  Good option

  We ate well here. Typical Austrian food in proper quality. Not everything felt like freshly cooked from all fresh ingredients. Prices average as per Carinthian standards. Service is friendly. A bit slow - they did not really show up often to see, if you want anything else.

  Nice Group stay

  We stayed with a business group for three days at the Gasthof zur Post! We were all very satisfied with our rooms and happy that it had balconies since from some rooms you have a great view to the Ossiacher See (lake). The lake is just a 3-minute walk from the hotel. One evening we had a very nice three-course menu and for the other night Sabine, owner of the hotel, gave us a great recommendation for a restaurant directly at the lake. Overall everybody in the hotel was very friendly and helpful! If we make a trip to Kärnten again, I am sure we will choose the Gasthof zur Post for another time!

  good accommodation / affordable price

  good location, affordable price. Large and simple rooms. Clean, large bathrooms, excellent shower. Polite and friendly staff. Spacious parking at the back. Nice view of the lake. excellent breakfast, both sweet and savory.
