  Excellent Stay and Service

  My family of 5 have a great stay in Hotel Zodiaco. We were split into 2 rooms, 2 in 1 room and 3 in one room. One room had an excellent view of Trento and the mountains ranges surrounding. The other view was a decent view of the slopes. While the rooms are not exactly modern, they are sufficient for a good night's sleep and very very clean. The only down side was that one room had a shower that didn't have much power. While the rooms do have some issues, I must say that the service is excellent and one of the best we've ever had. We stayed in Hotel Zodiaco over the Christmas period to ski and there were so many activities planned for us guests, especially little children. They have a dedicated group of girls that are event planners and they take charge of Christmas games, song items and even dance. If you are not local and want to see how Italians celebrate Christmas, this is the perfect place! Moreover Monte Bondone is not very touristy so many of their locals are very friendly (they aren't put off by tourists). The staff were very nice to us and provided us with good ski information and even information about the area. They were very well versed in their content and spoke decent English. Did I mention that the stay came with both breakfast and dinner? It was so worth it! The meals were fantastic! Breakfast is a very generous spread of eggs, bacon and Italian pastries that are a great way to start the day. Dinner was either a salad and sides and dessert buffet with 2 courses or a 5-6 course meal with a buffet dessert. The food is amazing. Kudos to the chef! Skiing at Monte Bondone is good for families. They had a good selection of slopes that are wide. The ski resort is not too crowded too so it was a very good ski run. While there was no snowfall during the december period, they do generate snow so the slopes are at tip top standard. Overall, apart from the tired looking rooms, the rest of the stay and ski was perfect. I highly recommend this place for families especially in the Christmas period.   Apartments Orizzonte are under the hotel Zodiaco 80 m from the lift to the Monte Bondone ski centrum. Perfekt place for the family with smaller children. Wellness centrum in the appartements was perfect after skiing. Nice personal in the hotel. Good connection to Trento via skibus.
