Good place ... But needs some improvement

We spent 1 week with our two children of 13 and 11. We booked a family suite as B&B. The room was large enough for 4 people, with a nice terrace with a little table and a really wonderful view on Martinscica gulf. The suite is on two levels with a comfortable king size bed on the upper floor but on the lower level there is bed sofa for the children, that was not comfortable enough for a relaxing sleep... Even for kids! We would have expected a better sofa bed ! Breakfast was fair but not super, for example sweet croissants and cakes run out quite quickly and they were not usually replaced. We had to ask for them directly more than one time. We had also dinner "à la carte" at the restaurant for two/three nights and it was definitely better than breakfast! Staff is very nice both at the hotel and restaurant, they are willing to help and support in all you need to know during holidays ... Overall we recommend this hotel in this nice village with a lot of peace and amazing sea!

    Nice Hotel in Martinica

We stayed in the suite room, it was very comfortable and very big. The view over the sea was nice. Restaurant was good and people very nice and kind! Some problems only with the wifi because it worked only in the hall, but if you are on holiday, this is the last problem to think about! You must try it!

    Late summer trip

Stayed 3 nights in late Sept. Enjoyed the entire experience. Great views, room & restaurant. Sasha, the owner made us fell like part of the family! The area is well suited for running/walking with an adjacent trail that loops through the harbor and woods.

    Lacklustre

Our stay was not an unpleasant one, but I had much greater expectations from a four-star hotel. The visuals are nice the interior is rather cheerful and pleasant to look at. However, the walls are paper-thin, so you had better hope you get quiet neighbours. The furnishings look very basic. The TV set is of the ancient cathode ray tube variety. There was no one large bed, only two single beds on wheels put together, so youre very likely to fall between them if you lie in the middle. The bathroom contains no accessories/toiletries apart from a blowdrier. The toilet has low to medium flow, and the water supply merely trickles, and so it takes, and so it takes the tank at least 10 minutes to fill the tank. The air conditioning can only be turned on/off if you call the reception desk. The staff was polite and helpful enough, but we did have an uncomfortable situation one night when we came back at 11 p.m. and found the front door locked, with the reception desk unmanned. It turned out that we had to use the room keycard (separate from the room key), which we had actually been advised to leave in the slot inside the room for continuous power. The breakfast was very basic and not very satisfying. There were no gluten-free options and nearly all meat items were made of pork. We did not try the à la carte menu. There is a swimming pool with spa/massage services, but our schedule was busy so we did not get to try it. The environs are peaceful and quiet enough, but I would not recommend staying here for a vacation. There is a campsite within walking distance, but the best beaches are located around the bay some 20 miles to the north. Martinica as a town is nothing to write home about; youre better served staying in Cres if you like a town with more establishments or Valun if you like quiet fishing villages.
