  Another holiday in Pefkos

  Arrived late and shown where our room was with a fantastic sea view. The hotel is situated up cardiac hill which for all that have a walking disability avoid or hire a car as it will cost you around 20 euros per day for taxis up and down the hill. My wife and I stayed in room 418 which was very good apart from the shower which you had to hold over your head as no shower head fixture on the wall. Places to go old roads town, symi by boat, island tour, boat trip round the island. If you hire a car you can visit all the beautiful places and beaches on the island. Car hire very cheap for around 40 pounds for a couple of days. Places to eat everywhere but I have been to Pefkos many times and I highly recommend HOTEL FINAS which you can see from Ziakis hotel and a ten minute walk down the short cut goat track. Yanni the owner of the hotel works his butt off working all hours but if you bump into his father who runs the small shop is very ignorant and i found that he was watching a greek program on the tv in the bar when he had paying customers waiting to check in for about 15 minutes, one of the guest had to come and ask what the hell was going on, not good service. Not bad snack can be bought at the pool and drinks too. Note you cannot bring food or drink to the pool if you are self catering. (bloody joke) whats the point of being self catering. Jet2 should state this on their site when booking this holiday along with (hotel built up a very steep hill do not come here if you are disabled) All in a pleasant holiday. Would I go back? Prices would have to be reasonable again as i was in Pefkos 6 years ago and a beer was about 1.50 to 2.00 euros now with taxes added 3.50 and more with cocktails 7.50 average. Greece not a cheap holiday any more

  Wonderful welcome again,fab hotel.

  Many thanks to the wonderful staff,made us feel so welcome,absolutely loved every minute,great breakfasts & lunches around the pool from Yannis &staff,Angela & family are so friendly,lovely clean throughout.

  Not 3 star

  Weve stayed in many places in Greece and we were not impressed wth this one. Very dated rooms and not the most welcoming of hosts. Dont quite know how it gets 3 stars because its not worthy. Lovely views -but out of town and on top of a very steep hill. Wont be returning .

  We knew about the hill you had to climb to reach hotel but didn't realize how steep and high it was . Definitely a no go for anyone with health problems Hotel cleanliness was ok with unbelievably basic kitchen and utensils The smell from sewerage very strong on and off all-day Good view over bay esspecially with being so high up

  It's a hill, get over it!

  Loved this wee hotel so much, Great views and a lovely pool area that had sunshine and shade. Sunbeds available all day as no towel booking allowed. People adhered to this when we were there. The pool was very cold but a welcome relief from the burning sunshine mid afternoon. Yes it is on a steep hill and you will see just how steep in my photo. Not for the unfit. We walked down into town and taxied back up for 5 euro a time. The studio apartment was basic but had everything we needed. The balcony was set in front of a lovely rose garden.The shower had great pressure. No TV. The cooker was pants and wouldn't boil water for pasta...wasn't a big problem for us as the hotel food was amazing. The Giros were the best. The staff are very hard working and Yannis deserved special mention for his helpful attitude, a real asset of this hotel. You walk into town by turning either left or right when you leave the hotel as both head down. Both took about 20 mins and when you get there the village is so nice, lovely places to eat and a fantastic beach with lots of sunbeds. 10 euro for two beds and a brolly, well worth it as they were very comfortable. There is a bus stop about 6 or 7 minutes walk from the hotel (turn left from hotel). We went to Lindos and to Rhodes old town on the bus, pay no heed to the timetables as the bus will come on Greek Time. All in all a good three star hotel and value for money through Jet 2.
