  Old hotel but pleasant and memorable

  Hotel is situated just a few minutes walk away from Churaumi Aquarium and Emerald Beach. So its the most affordable option for those who wish to stay for these 2 attractions. In fact I have booked a package that includes tickets to the aquarium. The building is very old and is surrounded by cemetery so it will seem to put some people off. The room itself is a pleasant surprise. It is BIG. It also has tatami mats and with a balcony overlooking the sea. The breakfast is simple but more than make up in terms of taste. The mackerel and champuru (fried cabbage) are tasty. Unfortunately it is catered to local palettes so most non locals will not like it. The staff were also very helpful who tried to help despite my limited command of Japanese. Special thanks to Ms Uehara.

  Never go here. What a theif

  I booked this hotel 4 months ago and prepaid 80$ for 2 bed + breakfast, however, when we go to the hotel, they charge 50$ more for 7 yrs old child. It was more than 60% of hotels reservation price and I claimed that was too much for one child. And they started negotiation to lower additional price as low as 38$ which means the fee for child wasn't regulated at the beginning. However, I finished to add 30$ for NO BREAKFAST for me, my wife and my KID. If you want to waste your holiday, you can get there, otherwise, never go there. In addition, the room smell like a HUT.

  Great location, spacious

  Hotel Yugaf Inn Bise proved an excellent choice for our 4 night stay in Motobu. The room was very large with 2 queen sized beds, a tatami seating area with Japanese style seating that could be moved to one side to make room for futons from the cupboard. They also had a fridge and a single ring cooker (bring your our pan/plates). The staff were polite though not especially friendly with limited spoken English but other than that we could not fault our stay. The buffet breakfast catered to our mixed(western/asian/small child) tastes. The ever so polite elderly couple catering the breakfast dining area worked ever so hard to produce quality food in quantity. The hotel is located a 5-minute walk from the Aquarium/Ocean Park. Lunch and dinner options are not available at the hotel. Lawson's supermarket across the street provided an excellent place to get provisions as the nearest restaurants outside of the hotel(s) are a 15-20 minute walk. The hotel is located next to the Okinawa Airport Shuttle bus park so that was an added bonus.

  slightly unusual but quite enjoyable

  If you were to explore Okinawa Island by car, like I did, this might be a good base for the north of the island. The hotel offers plenty of free parking. Ocean Park Expo and Emerald Beach are just next door, and there is a Lawson 24 hour store just acroos the road. The hotel building itself has seen better days, the colour is coming off the wall here and there but my room was in a well maintained condition and, by Japanese standards, it has been huge! Plus, all the rooms have a balcony with sea view. However, do not forget on the hot water before taking a shower. And, if there should be an infrequent beeping noise in your room and it is not the alarm and you are having difficulties location the source of the noise, it is best to check the safe in your cupboard. Whilst my stay the battery of the safe lock was apparently running low and started beeping. With the help of the friendly staff this problem was sorted out very quickly. Unlike other, bigger hotels in the vicinity, I have not seen any tour groups staying at the hotel but mostly families from other places in Japan. It was quite interesting to watch Japanese family life in the restaurant at breakfast every morning. Whereas the restaurant has more of an old school canteen feel and the variety of breakfast items was not that great. All in all I have very much enjoyed my stay at the Yugaf Inn Bise and can highly recommend this place.

  Good stay in Motobu

  I chose this hotel for the good rate which was significantly cheaper than the surrounding higher class hotels. It is also conveniently located a short walk to Emerald Beach, the Expo park which contains the Chaurami Aquarium and the Tropical Dream Centre (garden), and a Lawson store. The building and the room itself is quite dated and may I say unusually large, it was clean and the ocean view certainly made it worthwhile. I did have some trouble with the hot water, as it was an older building you had to activate the hot water on a switch and there was no english translation on what to do. I did get it working but only intermittently so I had a really quick shower. If I stayed there for more than a night I would have asked reception for full instructions. The room came with buffet breakfast which was pretty good quality. The staff were lovely to deal with so overall I would recommend this hotel for a budget stay that's convenient to the main attractions in Motobu.
