    Cold and unfriendly encounter

I checked in tonight and could not hesitate to write a review now. We came on a tour bus and was told to receive our room key in our tour bus. There were 2 front office staff at the counter but they looked at us as if we were alien when we were struggling with moving our luggage through their lobby and into their tiny lift. Did not see the reason why we were treated as unwelcomed guests by distributing our room keys in the bus when the bloody lobby was completely empty. The room was horribly small with no space for luggage or writing desk. There were no hooks in the bathroom and the towel were just left on the vanity top. Unhygienic in my opinion. The room door open inwards while there was a silly door to the minibar that was design up till the ceiling and it blocks the entrance if someone opens the mini bar or is trying to make coffee. The toilet door was build with such resistance to close for the old folks. I guess thats the reason why the hotel staff was all so aloof and cold towards the group of old folks coming by the tour bus. The bed and blanket was no where near a business hotel. It was so thin considering the fact that taiwan is a country of four season. There were stain on the curtain. There was paint stain on the wood bedside table. The maintenance of the furniture of the hotel was not what i expect for one with staff that does not allow their guests to collect their room keys in their lobby. I wonder how they define which category of guests deserved to be treated with respect.

Paying that much for an awful experience, i would rather stay in Youth Hostel

i stayed there one night from 12~13.12.2019 for a standard room. the room size was expected. however the hygiene was surprised me, when i came into the room there are hairs on the bed and the toilet is smelly. i couldnt sleep well for the whole night, cos the bed made me itchy n i kept scratching all night long. on the other hand, they claimed to have a shuttle service to a metro station. when i first called them for arrangement, they said i have to make reservation an hour prior to the time i desire. then i didnt take it. on the next day early morning, i called n wanna make a reservation for going out at noon, the reply is "it's all full until 6pm"................... the location of the hotel is already not convenient for public transport, and the shuttle service ><. tbh, worst hotel experience.

Not a friendly hotel, but breakfast is nice

Checked into this hotel for a night during our family holiday but our experience didn't started right at the moment we stepped inside: The reception didn't seemed welcoming: sour face and high pitch tone when we asked questions to clarify something. Secondly the house cleaner came after 2 times we have raised it to the front desk on a overflowed toilet bowl. The cleaner came in and fixed the toilet bowl but didn't even border to clean the toilet bowl and left us with a dirty toilet bowl. The only thing which is worth mentioning is their breakfast which is sumptuous and tasty.

Friendly prices but not so friendly staff

Stayed at Deluxe Double room and it was one of the most spacious rooms that I have stayed in all of Taiwan; with space even for a decent table for me to work on. We got a king sized bed; it wasn't the most comfortable, but decent and clean. I saw other reviews stating they had horribly dirty rooms/ bed, but I didn't have this problem. In fact, I found the whole room to be relatively clean, including the toilet. What I can suggest for a significant improvement is to include some hooks and/or laundry lines as there are absolutely no places to hang your towels or wet clothing, which can be frustrating. The hotel is located nearby to Love River and you can get a pretty nice view if you select the correct room type, but it is quite a long walking distance to the nearest MRT station. Fortunately, the neighborhood is quiet, peaceful and there are several nice cafes and eateries around the area. One of the most famous one is Xing Long Ju; reputably the must-go for Taiwanese styled breakfast. Even the one next door is worth going. Last but not least, as said in the title; prices are relatively affordable for this level but the staff aren't going to make your trip happy. For some reason, they do not seem to like tourists and I get the "dirty look" a little more than I would tolerate. Generally, they mostly fail to show any warmth and hospitality though they are ironically in the line of hospitality. So just try to avoid talking to them altogether.

    Affordable Bathtub Room; Quiet Neighborhood

Spotlights: * 4 Star Service w/ 3 Star Price * Modern Design throughout the Hotel * Hearty & Tasty Breakfast Buffet * Late Night Snack for Guests in the Diner on 1F. * Spacious Deluxe Room w/ Large Bathtub Pity: I've stayed here twice (Jul, 2018 + Jun, 2019), I couldn't use their Free Shuttle Service because it wasn't available for both times I visited. Thankfully, there's UBER in Kaohsiung City. Blog & FB Page : Foodie Chicvé IG @chicve02
