  Wechselberger -a 10 day ski holiday

  We stayed in this hotel From 23 Dec 2006. to 2 Jan 2007. A perfect hotel for convenience - just in the centre of the main street. Only about 100m from the food market and about 200m to the lifts. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was a lovely warm atmosphere each evening with an amazing spread of food which was enjoyed by our group. Our room was lovely with a view of one of the main black runs, so when I felt a bit tired out from a few hours on the slopes, it was nice to relax in the room and watch the skiers. The only problem we had with this hotel was the noise all night of the party-goers singing and talking in the streets below. (not the fault of the hotel, of course!) The little main street becomes like an echo chamber at night and we found it difficult sometimes waking up several times a night. Overall it was a lovely holiday.

  Great location but could improve the food

  This hotel is very conveniently placed in the centre of Saalbach,close to the ski lifts, with shops, bars and bank close by. The room was warm and comfortable. Breakfasts were good, though the coffee could be improved and fresh fruit juice would be preferred to the watered down version. The evening meals could have been a lot better - a good salad bar, but the main courses were not so enjoyable and portions were small, with little vegetable. Often over-salted.

  Comort on Ski Holiday

  We stayed 7 nights in Saalbach Tyrol for our ski holiday at the Wechselberger hotel on the main pedestrian area. 50 meters from the lifts, great food, wine offering and wellness center. Two things that disturbed me are very poor wifi connection and comfort of beds and pillows, I think it's time to change them. Overall we enjoy very much this 3 star hotel with half board and great balcony to the mountains.

  1 week snowboarding trip

  We stayed in this hotel for 1 week. People here are very friendly and its location is very good, right by the main street and very close to gondolas and chairlifts. Breakfast and dinner (included) were very good. We tried different beers and they were all very good. The room is very well cleaned, especially the shower room. There is a good place to store skis and boots (in a dryer). We could smell cigarette every night in the room and this is very disappointing for non-smokers. The pillow and towels need to be replaced. Towel are very old and worn (feels like sand paper) and the pillows are too thin. By the price paid, we could have stayed in a 4 star hotel if we had booked in more advance. After all we enjoyed our stay.

  Great location and value for skiers

  Great location on pedestrian area, few minutes from all three lifts, possibility to use parking spot in central garage but you can load/unload your car in front of the reception, very nice dinners, great value
