  Great location, friendly staff, somewhat rough around the edges.

  We picked this hotel because we wanted a convenient downtown location, but found it difficult to book a room around the Snow Festival, so WBF was one of the few hotels which fit our criteria. We also liked the fact WBF is a large chain with locations across Japan, so are hoping to use their properties in other cities. The beds were very comfortable, and the staff were quite helpful, although the main element that stuck out for us with this room was the fact there was a small gap in our window and the strong winter wind caused a whistling sound all day and night. Even our children began to comment that the whistling was driving them crazy. We did not alert the hotel staff to the problem due to the fact we were too tired both nights to deal with it. The shower was also quite problematic. Whenever another room flushed a toilet, we would experience a burst of extremely hot water. Fortunately our children took baths both nights of our stay, or the water might have burnt them. For the adults it was a very uncomfortable shower experience. We also hoped to use the exercise facilities, which are actually associated with a gym that is co-located in the same building as WBF, but never made it down to the facilities. The experience of waking up in Sapporo where we already knew it was cold outside, with the sound of the cold wind whistling outside, discouraged us from getting out of bed early to exercise. The breakfast was delicious and presented nicely; the restaurant staff were very helpful. The beds were extremely comfortable, particularly the futons for the tatami room. The front desk staff were very helpful. The cleaning staff were great, and our room was cleaned well during our stay.

  Nice place.

  The hotel locates in a very convenient location. Theres an elevator at the corner so no trouble with huge luggages. City sightseeings (TV tower, the Clock tower, The Government building etc.) are in walking distance. They also provided an air humidifier/filter in the room. I love it! The handy was very useful. Pls. dont forget to bring it along while exploring the city. Good service and nice staff.

  Attentive staff and very good location

  Hotel is clean and in within walking distance to Sapporo Station, Odori Park, shopping street, Susukino, Nijo Market. There's free food and drinks at the lounge from 5pm (or was it 6?) to 9pm. It was hot though in the room, maybe due to centralized heating. We were given electric fans. The room temperature was the only downside in our stay, everything else is ok!

  Small room but convenient location

  Stayed here 5 years ago when it was under another name. Small room, clean. Location is in middle of shopping at the JR station or dinner at Susukino/ Odori area. You can walk all the way underground from Sapporo station to this hotel. Unfortunately they have converted the onsen into a private one, so you need to pay to use it. Breakfast was adequate, good selection. Free beer, finger food and snacks in the evening.

  Family winter trip

  Nice area and location, only problem are not much information on hotel website ( no return main when written email to hotel) best transport from/to airport before my trip . Only found out when reaching hotel by train. For all travelers, there are direct bus from/to airport just across the road ( the other hotel side bus stop , forgottenthe name of hotel try to googles the hotel oppositethe Hotel WBF sapporo odori). Underground exit 12 is for those using subway and underground exit 14 had a better supermarkets ( we only know on our last day ). Hotel website can do better to help visitors.
