Service with CAREWe spent Christmas and New Years in sapporo this 2019. Had reserved a lot of different mid range hotels to be sure but ended up choosing hotel WBFsapporo chuo. Turns out that we made the right choice. We picked the Superior Twin room. Here's my review Checking in: No sweat from my online booking. We just gave our passports and in a few minutes they handed the key. They didn't ask for any fee for incidentals. Stay: One of our longest stays in a hotel--we stayed for 8 days. The room was kept clean always. Wine glasses that we asked have always been washed. There's warmth with the smiles of the concierge staff and service as always fast. Breakfast: It was alright. Good enough spread but it was the same everyday. We didn't complain because we didn't eat their breakfast everyday. It was quite comfortable and the winter made us sleep till 11ish almost everyday. Location: Everything is walkable. Nijo market, odori park, the sapporo station which is a link to different locations in hokkaido is very accessible. One can also hail a taxi easily. McDonalds (which, of course our kid would always want) is just a few steps away. 711, Family mark and a drug store is also walking distance from the property. Other amenities: This hotel tries hard to please its customers. There is a lounge at the ground floor, available from 4pm till 11pm and one can have unlimited pastries, wine, beer. Also, a selection of bath salts and scents are available at the lobby every night. When we needed something to get printed for a tour, they readily printed the document for us. Also they offered goodies and candies to the little kiddo (nice gesture of care) For the friendliness of its staff, the location, bang-for-the-buck and the feeling that the hotel cares for you (very important), we give this one 5 stars! We'd visit the hotel again (I wish they expand breakfast spread, also the time). TIP: do select the Superior room at a minimum, coffee is available in the morning at the lobby, you can lso ask them to hail you a cab, if you forget to leave the sign - please clean room, don't worry, they will make an effort to place clean towels at your front door. There might not be room service, but there is so many, soooo many choices of restaurants around the area -- from ramen, to seafood, to tonkatsu!

Winter Holiday (Jan 16-22/2020)Hotel is pretty comfortable.. was given RM 905.. Nice view of Nijo Market.. Room can open window to regulate temperature.. Free alcohol or hotel drinks after a long cold day out.. fantastic. Would I recommend this hotel.. yes.. definitely... . Stay away from grumpy old lady bar/restaurant at the 2nd floor of hotel.. haha.

Like the location.Near Nijokani market, subway station and shopping street. Easy to navigate around. Cosy breakfast area. Normal simple buffet breakfast - mixture of Japanese and toast. Use traditional key. Mainly Japanese channels.

Great stay and worth the $Stay: WBF SAPPORO CHUO The location was good. At first we followed Google map and it asked us to exit at Odori station, exit 14. It was a 10 minutes walk from there. We discovered that exiting from exit 34 will be the nearest to the hotel. After exiting, turn right (you will see a parking lot on your right), go straight until the end and turn right again. The hotel will be on your right. Hotel breakfast is not the wide international spread type however we live it as it is traditional Japanese style home cook food type. My kids enjoyed them thoroughly. Hotel had a coffee / tea machine available for guests 24/7. (Dun expect baristas standards) there is also free bath salts available in various varieties and renowned bathe products for guests to rent. Amenities nearby: Convenience stores such as 7-11 and family mart are within 3-5 mins walk from hotel. A 5-stories diaso is located on the hotel right hand side. An okay sized Matsumoto Kiyoshi (drug store) is on the hotel right hand side too. Tanukikoji shopping arcade is located approximately 5-7 mins walk from hotel. There was this yummy garaku soup curry near the hotel too. Overall, many options available, both dining and shopping.

A high value mid hotel with many perksThis is a very high value hotel. The price is not very high, but it's a mid-range hotel with good service and clean interior (the same as a lot of Japanese hotels). There are two things that are special: If you sign up for the hotel membership, you get free alcohol in the lobby for certain time (tested in December 2019) You can also get free bath salt in the hotel. I heard that hotel WBF had some troubles and may be bankrupt, but I sincerely recommend this hotel and hope it goes through troubled times with ease.
