  A Comfortable Stay

  Our stay here was pleasant and without event. The young girl that checked us in and out was a pleasure to deal with. She did everything she could to help us enjoy our stay The room was spacious and comfortable and dinner in the restaurant was very nice. Overall this was a comfortable stay.

  Excelent base for many activities

  Very friendly staff. Very clean. Good SPA and tennis courts Good selection of dishes and good quality of meals. Summer card = free transports in buses and lifts Baggage transport to the room at arrival would have been nice. But the guy at the reception did not want to stop internet surfing.

  Nice hotel and lovely staff but a little far out from town

  We are a young couple who recently stayed 4 nights at this hotel. The hotel is pleasant and staff very friendly. Rooms were spacious and clean and beds were made each day. Our room had a rear garden and mountain view and also a balcony. Our room had a small fridge and kitchenette. We had an evening meal one night, we opted for the buffet which was 22 each or you could choose off the menu also. The buffet had a good selection, we had a lovely soup to start, steak and chicken with good selection of salads and sides and also dessert. The hotel had a bar open till midnight which we had a drink at most nights. The young bar tender was halarious and very friendly and spoke good English. Would definitely reccomend this hotel however taxi from hotel to Schladming centre was 18 euros one way in the evening so could work out expensive if didnt have a car. Hotel is also a long walk to centre, would not reccomend walking especially at night. Another small issue was the lighting on the way to our room, we found ourselves walking in the dark at night trying to find light switches. Some had light sensors but other corridors did not, would be better if all had this. This hotel offered pool and spa facilities, although spa seemed basic it was clean and pool area was small but pleasant. Good outdoor play area for children, I would say hotel is good for older couples and families. However this could be different in winter when busier season. Over all enjoyable and pleasant stay.

  Nice countryside hotel to relax

  We only stayed at the hotel for 1 night as we were attending a music event in the nearby village of Schladming which is around 10 minutes drive away or on nice days you can take a walk down the beautiful wild gorge to reach Schladming. But now to the hotel itself which is surrounded by a picturesque mountain scenery. The rooms are quite old fashioned in terms of furniture but comfortable and with a modernized bathroom. The hotel consists of mainly two buildings and you have the feeling that they had add ons here and there, which makes the overall experience a bit unsteady - patch-work type. But the big plus for sure is the nice garden with swimming pool, ideal to relax as well as their Sauna and Spa facilities. Beside the pool you even have a place for deer feeding, so you really feel the nature around you. Breakfast was also very nice with a wide selection of fresh choices for every taste. We did not eat other meals at the hotel so I can not say something about the rest of the food. But we had a lunch at the restaurant opposite the street which also belongs to the same owners and food and atmosphere was fantastic there. Staff was very friendly except the owner herself who did our check-out and who we both considered as very arrogant and not so costumer friendly - maybe because we were just here for one night because some obviously repeating guests who came after us she greeted very friendly. But well, we can be the repeating customers for the future maybe she should consider that and learn a bit from her staff.

  Great discovery!

  Booked there for our last night as the Schwaigerhof wasnt available only to be very happily surprised by the discovery of a very good alternative should our 1st choice hotel (Schwaigerhof) not be available. For our part, we only dealt with very nice people from the front desk to the great restaurant staff to room service and cleaning, very welcoming and helpful. The buffet dinner and breakfast are of very high quality and provided for some new options that are not common in other hotels in the area (guess the chef is italian). Although relatively far from the slopes and the city, it still has its own charm and is at a walking distance from the famous fire and ice walking tour along the river. We got the suite in the annex that had a huge balcony, coffee machine and kitchenette. The only weird thing is the presence of a group of nudists it seems in the SPA so the experience was awkward with a 10 year old boy playing table tennis next door. We cant hold it on the hotel though but they could do something about having some curtains preventing this.
