  Located very at JR station, regular hotel

  This was the 1st hotel in our Japan trip, we choose this hotel due to the location near a JR station and the mount Fuji. Location was indeed very near the JR Shimizu station (Tokaido main line) and this was very usefull, since we would like to use our JR rail passes. The hotel self was furthermore not very special, all the services were OK and the people very friendly and helpful but not more than that. Worth to add is that the location very near the trainstation has an advantage and disadvantage, disadvantage is the during the night there are quite som freight trains passing by.

  Good location but cold service

  It takes less than 5-min to JR station. The room is relatively large compared with typical japan hotel room. The toilet and bathroom are separate which is quite convenient for couple. It is clean and tidy. However, the frontdesk staff did not have any smile or greet you. It will be perfect if the customer service can be improved

  Convenience for 1 day Fuji mountain watch

  It's nice and easy walk from Shimizu JR station. It is clean and convenient for a day stop between Kyoto to Tokyo. Easy to watch Fuji mountain from S-Pulse Ferris wheel or even from S-pulse beach. Nice to try seafood there though pricy

  Comfortable Japanese business hotel

  I stay here sometimes as we have a factory in town. It is a comfortable hotel. The rooms are a little small by western standards but normal for Japan and comfortable. Once, I had an issue with the air conditioning (I struggle in the heat/humidity). It was dealt with quickly and professionally. When they couldnt get it working right away they moved me straight into a room with ice cold AC. Good customer service I thought. If the problem cant be solved immediately, making the customer comfortable seems to be the priority. The area is pleasant and just what youd imagine a Japanese fishing port to be like. However, there may not be enough to keep tourists entertained for more than 3 or 4 days.

  Bad front desk service

  I have been travelling on Japan for many years and this is the worst hotel staff I ever meet. When checkin, the staff do not take an effort to read my reservation, do not even advise on the parking and started talking loud at me. Untill I start talking louder at him then he being nice to me. I can speak relatively good English but he think I am from China. The management should seriously look into it.
