  Good location if skiing at Dynaland

  Stayed here for 2 nights with my family of 6. When we checked in, each room had 3 single beds ready and rooms were side by side. Clean and basic ski resort. Serves good spread of buffet breakfast and dinner. Perhaps it is low skiing season now, the hotel has not many guests, which suits us greatly! Very convenient if skiing at Dynaland or Takasu.

  Avoid this hotel if you want to have a pleasant holiday

  This hotel was not even prepared for the arrival of its guests. The roads leading to the hotel were not cleared of the snow, which made the driving very difficult and dangerous. Being a hotel in the ski resort, it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure it is easily accessible. But this was not the case. The hotel charged a per person rate and cramped 6 of us into one small room, when we had booked 2 rooms. The reception staff at this hotel give the entire japanese community a bad name. They were not at helpful. When we pointed out that we had booked 2 rooms, they reluctantly gave us a western room. But the western rooms done not have any shower or bath rooms. Which means one will need to go the ground floor at restricted hours and use common bathrooms. The rooms were small and cold. At -3 degrees, the rooms were not heated. We were charged around JYEN31,000.00 for 2 adults and 1 child, which included breakfast and dinner. Both the buffet breakfast and dinner was horrible. Again first visitors who visit japan, will be put off with Japanese food, if they at this hotel for their first visit. Because of the blizard the ski resort closed. We wanted to leave 1 day earlier. The rude and incompetent reception staff wanted to charge us cancellation charges. This hotel does not deserve any rating and gives all hotels in Japan a bad reputation.
