  A jewel in the Crown of Crimea

  Villa Elena and all its staff make this place one of the great places I have visited around the world. This place will always have a special place in my heart. From the moment I arrived at Villa Elena I was made to feel like a statesman; and not just on arrival but every minute of my 6 day stay. I will name a few people and I apologise for those I do not name but you are not forgotten. So many people have made this trip one of the most memorable. Thank you Anastasia on reception and Igor on concierge. Nothing was too much trouble. At the beach club, Sergei, Natalia and the whole team made it an experience beyond my dreams. Crimea remains primarily a Russian resort and for that you can be grateful. No drunken yobs, no unsociable behaviour, just lovely people having a wonderful time enjoying their summer holidays. If you book at Villa Elena you will have made one of the great choices in life and once you leave the the gates that protect this property you will be exposed to the most enjoyable Crimean culture.

  The best restaurant in the whole of Yalta

  My husband and I visited the stunning Villa Elena for dinner during our Yalta stay as part of our Crimean tour in August ' 17. Our waiter amazed us with his extensive knowledge of the menu and could even pinpoint precisely where their steaks / poultry were raised. We were pleasantly surprised with the fact that there was a sommelier available should you require any help with finding the best wine matches. Overall we received absolute first class service that tops any restaurant we've previously been to not to mention our waiters command of English was outstanding, the food was cooked to perfection and the wine list was impressive even featuring some of our favourite new zealand varieties eg central otago pinots. We also found the prices very reasonable for a venue of this level. We will absolutely stay at the hotel itself for our next Yalta visit.

  Elegant Art Nouveau Hotel with matching service

  A very very special stay at this wonderful hotel we will remember for a long time! Crimea in general and Yalta in particular are beautiful and historic places where Russian royalty past and present built their summer homes and palaces of which many are turned into museums for all of us to enjoy. Livadia was one of them that we visited which was the summer retreat for the royal Romanov family and also the site of the famous Yalta Peace conference after WWII. With so much history, events and important people leaving their mark it was an amazing and exciting experience walking the halls and beautiful gardens! The same positive epithets apply to Villa Elena - a charming and elegant palace that became a hotel with an aura of an age gone by, a time more subtle and sophisticated, graceful and refined. The staff matches the description of the structure both in refinement and in kindness and in professionalism. High praises go to the concierges Svetlana and Igor and at reception Anastasia who catered to our every need. Particular thanks to Svetlana who efficiently and thoughtfully mailed us our documents which we forgot when we left. Thank you! One of the most memorable and fanciful details of the hotel was the elevator - an art nouveau gem straight out of Agatha Christies Hercule Poirot and it works beautifully for a hundred year old construction! Our suite was memorable too with spacious interiors, three cute balconies and the most adorable copper water heater that is an artistic piece in-itself. The restaurant with a gorgeous terrace was wonderful as was the food served by courteous and able waiters. We attended a marvelous concert by jazz singer Dariya that was the high point of our stay being ourselves lovers of jazz. The hotels location is ideal, just off the main boardwalk and very convenient. Thank you Villa Elena for a wonerful vacation!

  Everything is Wonderful -

  Everything was Wonderful, I love this hotel.. and Cousine is also so good. Very good and very classic stile.The nature and the climate is also amazing.. Very kind peoples.. -

  Very Pleasantly Surprised

  We had a wonderful weekend at this hotel. The service was excellent and so many little touches made the weekend special. - Especially the complimentary bottle of sparkling Crimean wine and chocolates - so welcome after the long twisty ride from the airport and made you feel immediately on holiday. A fresh rose in the bathroom, white gloved service by the pool, helpful bellman, good hotel taxi service to and from airport, excellent reception and concierge staff. Well above expectations, in a lovely spot just back from the embankment. If I had to critique one thing it would be that the hotel menu is very strange from a British perspective and the roast chicken with polenta dish was bizarre. - I was served a bit of a wing which is a part I would have thrown in the bin and though tasty it was about one mouthful. Don\'t order if you are hungry!
