  Beautiful rooms with fascinating design

  Travel July 2015 We have hiked in Austria for 25 years. Usually a new valley each time. We are not running out of valleys. The Tux valley should not be missed.and Hotel Tuxertal is a perfect place to stay for summer adventure and spetacular hiking. We loved our stylish modern designed accommodation and the balconies were a constant source of summer entertainment as the farmers with their total family group harvested the fodder from the 55 percent grades of the grasy hills abated the hotel. Our breakfast buffets were deightful and we were introduced to the beautiful and tasty green pumpkin seed oil which will always be a permanent resident of our home kitchen for life.. Especially rewarding were the late afternoon afterhiking "snacks" which were so fantastic that we often did not really have room for our evening five/six course dinners. We love cleanliness and Hotel Tuxertal has it. Negatives-not much help if you are limited to English especially hiking guides. Not a problem for us since we usually choose our own hiking adventures.

  Short ski Pasen 2017

  Top hotel very friendly, great pool, short to gletsjer. Excellent food. Asked to have room one hour longer. No problem. If one evening we did eat a bit less they proposed to serve something else, never heard that before.

  Perfect hiking vacation

  Hotel Tuxertal offers at least 2 guided hiking tours each day, one easier and one more strenuous, both well organized and utterly stunning. Each afternoon we returned from our hiking trip, we were treated to coffee, cake and other goodies, that's on top of a generous breakfast buffet and a 5 course dinner. Meeting other people was very easy as all solo travelers took their meals together at one large table, the hiker's table. Loved every minute at Hotel Tuxertal: the heartfelt hospitality of the Grubauer Family, the awe inspiring mountains and the company of my fellow solo travelers and hiking enthusiasts. Can't wait to come back.

  Great hiking hotel!

  We spent more than a week in Hotel Tuxertal for a hiking holiday. Very nice hotel (actually best hotel room ever, very convenient lay-out), spotlessly clean, great food and two well-organized hiking tours a day (a more gentle hike and a sport hike). Hiking bus stops very close to the hotel. The only downside: we are used that our hiking hotels (members of Wanderhotels) are in very quiet areas. This hotel is at a rather busy road and if you sleep with open windows (as was necessary because of the very warm temperatures in August) you have to bring ear plugs. Also there is quite a lot of noise coming from the opposite hotel, which hosts a lot of young skiers. Our room was lacking blackout curtains which makes it difficult to sleep out if the sun is shining. But why sleeping long if you are in such a great hiking area :-)

  Love it!

  We have stayed here a few time and love it every single time. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The food is incredible - tasty, plentiful and good vegetarian and vegan options. The rooms are nice, big, clean and comfortable - ours also had a great view. The swimming pool and sauna are great on a rainy day or to warm up when returning from a cold walk. The hotel is a great starting point for walks and close to some shopping as well as the cheese factory. With its little quirky things it really is like a home from home.
