The hotel is good, the location terribleWe were here two weeks with the kids. First the positives: the hotel is clean and well-maintained. The quality of the food is good, however the choice is a bit limited: after two weeks we just had everything a few times. The choice of beverages is also incredibly limited: water, cola, fanta, beer, white wine and red wine. I tried the wine twice (horrible) then I settled on beer (drinkable). The transfer from and to the airport was included in the price, however be prepared to get up *very* early. We had to get up at 3 and in the end we spent a few hours at the airport hanging around. The location was the worst part of the vacation. The hotel's beach is fortunately not very crowded (we were shocked to see how tightly people were packed in other hotels) but forget about relaxing. You could as well be sitting near a highway at rush hour. All kinds of motorboats are speeding close to the beach: they tow paragliders, huge inflatable bananas, inflatable sofas, everything. The whole time. Last but not least, for some reasons the percentage of smokers was unusually high. At the beach we were always surrounded by smokers and, frankly, I find the smell of cigarette smoke quite disgusting. All in all, we won't go back and we would never suggest this hotel to friends or acquaintances.

All-inclusive mid-size hotel at overpopulated seaside resortThe hotel building is well maintained. Rooms are clean with tea facility, refilled mini-bar, free WF; safe for a fee.Vast majority of rooms has side view to the neighboring hotels. Walls are not soundproofed. Good selection of in-door services to make all-inclusive stay comfortable: hairdresser, shop, optician and jeweler boutiques, wellness with hamam, fitness room, large in-door bar with billiard. Kids club, animation activities and evening shows. Also sopping mile outside closed to the hotel. Food is tasty, many Turkish traditional dishes. Suitable for vegetarians. Meals are well organized between several restaurants. Drinks selection is very limited. No reasonable coffee. However, the hotel owned area is pretty small and squeezed and the area around the hotel is extremely overpopulated. Pool is very crowded, small in-door pool is closed in summer. The hotel own beach is sandy, shallow, safe, clean, with pier as a highlight, but very narrow. Not for swimming. No WF on the beach.

customer service is dead hereSo I called here twice to get a reservation for 1 night. I was then told that it was impossible first time because there was a 3 day min stay and then second time because I was a solo traveler. Due to time constraints, I got someone local involved to book me a stay. I wouldnt bring my fam here because the entertainment is super loud. Service team is definitely not polite. Will not come back.

Lovely family hotelWe travelled to Thalia in beginning of October, suprisingly the hotel and whole Side seemed to be full of tourists. We arrived after midnight, were quickly checked in by receptionist. Location: Hotel's location was great. Directly on the clean sandy beach, with beautiful garden, close to the shopping possibilities outside the hotel. Close to Side (3-4 km), or Kumkoy (<1km - 10-15 min walk). Room: First night were unhappy with the room we got due to the overbooked hotel. The room was standard of 2-3* hotel in the back of main building. Next morning we got new room with view over the another hotel and road, which was very nicely decorated and modern, definitely a standard of 4* hotel. Room was equipped with comfy bed, amaying pillow and covers, TV, minibar with soft drink and water, safe, tea/coffee set, nice balconu with chairs, huge wardrobe with plenty of space. Bathroom was nice and clean as well. Daily cleaning was done very well, cleaning lady was super nice. Hotel: Hotel has well maintained garden and pool area. The area is small, but feels cozy. Beautiful view from the restaurant's terrace. There was some a'la carte restaurant but we did not try. Pool bar/beach bar, spacious lobby bar with terrace and again amazing view over the garden/pool/sea. There was SPA with massages, also complimentary voucher for 10min massage valid only for 2 days!! Food: Hotel had nice standard of all inclusive. If you have been in Turkey for several times, you will recognize the similarity in the menus. I was expecting mz favorite turkey with brown sauce and to my positive surprise, found it there :) Plenty of meat, side dishes, salads, cakes. Cannot complaint. Hotel restaurant was usually at its peak time around 7-7:30 pm and it was difficult to find a table. During lunch there was beach restaurant offering different meals, usually hamburgers, fries, spaghetti. As usual. Beach: Last 3 visits in Turkez we chose hotels almost next to each other, because of the beach. It's the cleanest area, with pure sand, not deep water and amazing for walks. Beach was smaller but you could always find a place there. Moreover, hotel has pear with extra sunbeds accesible only for it's guests, beautiful views and more windy. Great for watching sunset. Fun: Hotel was majorly occupied by older people or families. During the day, different activites such as morning gymnastic, darts, boccia, etc. Evening shows were really nice, many musicals, animation team performed really great. However, during our week stay there was no disco/party. It was a family vacation so we did not mind it. Hotel guests were majoritz German, or Turkish. Hotel's staff was speaking mostly this languages, plus basic english. In overall, it was nice holiday for one week. I would give it 3,8/5 stars.
