  Great location, good friendly hotel.

  We stayed at Hotel Ter Streep for three nights as part of a large group. Very fast check in, lovely large double room with view of the town. The bed was queen size and very comfortable with crisp cotton bedding. The breakfasts were plentiful and very enjoyable. We only ate one evening meal in the hotel and we could not fault it. We were all served quickly. The bar area had comfortable seating. The hotel is in a fantastic location, a few minutes either way you will find something to suit your needs. Turn right and there is a lovely park to walk off the big breakfast or a walk around the harbour. If you turn left you have the main pedestrian shopping streets or the big casino or behind that is the lovey beach with a very wide long promenade. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the hotel and loved Ostend.

  Stayed here 3 nights on a coach tour. Hotel had mostly good points but seemed a little tired. Location was great - being convenient for both shops and the beach/promenade. It was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with choice of continental and cooked although quite a limited choice. They do not do evening meals because threr is such a large choice of places to eat close by. Having said that they did provide us with an un-expected meal on our first evening at no cost. That has earned them an extra star. Our room was OK but needed a little bit of attention. One power socket was so loose in the wall we thought it best not to use it and the telephone socket was hanging out of th wall! Tea and coffee facilities were available in the room but we had to put the kettle on the floor because the lead was too short to reach up to the dressing table. We sometimes had a bit of a wait before anyone attended to us at the bar, but the service was good when it did come. Some of this sounds negative but in general we enjoyed our stay here and liked Ostend very much.

  lovely base from which to explore Oostende

  This hotel is in an excellent location, very central for everything Oostende has to offer - the casino is just a few moments away, the main shopping area less than 5 minutes walk, a major tram stop is just across the road & you can walk to the beaches in a few minutes too. There are restaurants & bars around the area too. You can park in the surrounding streets for free after 8pm - any extra money you pay at night carries over to 9am the next morning when charges start again, apparently. There is also a large underground car park a few minutes away. The staff at the hotel were exceptionally friendly. When I checked in, the room I was given turned out to have faulty heating which was stuck on full. The helpful young lady on reception confirmed herself that the heating was faulty & immediately moved me to another room. I had what the hotel terms a "cosy" room - the smallest they have. It still had a decent size desk/table, a full size comfy double bed & a full size double wardrobe & plenty of room to move. Full tea & coffee making facilities too. The decent sized bathroom had a shower cubicle - no bath. The room was a clean & pleasant space. Breakfast is included in the room rate & was a fairly standard continental cold buffet with the addition of boiled eggs (hot), scrambled eggs & some nice bacon. The hotel has what looks like a pleasant little bar next to reception. I would definitely happily stay there again.

  Perfect!

  Perfect location, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, clean and well presented throughout the hotel. Cant fault this place. The bar has a very nice atmosphere which we enjoyed every night of our stay.

  Coach trip from UK

  Stayed at this hotel on Coach trip from Isle of Wight for 3 days towards end of nov. Excellent value hotel. Right in the centre of Ostend. Clean rooms although room 63 bathroom could do with regrouting around the bath. Breakfast was excellent. Enjoyed visiting the bar in the hotel. Couldnt ask for a better location. Staff v friendly too.
