Low cost and near by night clubsThis hotel is standerd "Business" hotel. Rate is lowest range this area. Location is center of area of night clubs and bars. Littlebit noisy in night time. Stuffs are very friendly. I think 99% Japanese guests. Facility is little-bit old but good maintenance. In day times, all guest rooms air conditonars doesn't work.

NahaRooms very small by western standards, Service excellent, with all staff being very friendly and accomodating. The breakfast plan provided with our room was excellent and provided a welcome start to the hustle and bustle of Naha. This is a property with great value and service for the money. It is not a place I would recommend for a holiday or with a family looking for a vacation.

Small but cleanAlthough the room is small, it's clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It near to Kokusai Dori for a few minutes of drive. There are convenience stores nearby for buying some drinks or snacks. But it's lack of some restaurants for breakfast.

Nice budget hotel right in the cityI stayed 3 nights at the Taira Hotel and I must say I really enjoyed my stay. July 27-30. The hotel is situated in a lively neighborhood ( especially at night:)) not far from the Monorail and Kokusai Dori, Naha's main shopping street. The hotel is not 5 star but it's worth the money spent. The Staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and their English is sufficient to make yourselves understood. Check in was 3pm ( which is the norm in Japan) and the room was a twin room booked using japanican. The room is a little tired but functional. Bed was ok but the matress needs being changed. When I checked out I took off the sheets, and YES, they need to change their matresses...some unpleasant stains could be seen....Bathroom was a little small but for one person it's ok. They provide housekeeping daily and they even fill your kettles with water! One contains icy cold water the other just water for you to make tea. There is a fridge as well. I didn't watch TV so I cannot say what channels they offer but I assume they are mostly Japanese ones. The Hotel offers brekkie in the morning. It's served on the 1st floor ( ground level). Japanese food...rice, pickles, bread, butter, jam, fish, yogurt, fruit....I enjoyed my breakfast in the morning. helps refuel! What I did not like was the poor turtle that could be seen on the counter . It was in a tiny small aquarium... god! That sight would certainly prevent me from staying there again despite the friendliness of the place. Last point. I think that the rooms could be improved by adapting the furniture to its size....Nothing to complain about. Good stay, despite the that poor turtle in the aquarium in the breakfast room! Oops, The room I had had no view, facing the rear of the hotel....

Old fashioned, in a seedy area. The price was excellent through expedia, paired with Jetstar or Vanilla air. They have 24 hour desk service so check-in is convenient. As two females staying a week, i found the area of town close to the tourist spots (10min walk), but the area itself is gross. Large groups of men all over the street trying to talk men into visiting their girl clubs. They were really vulgar and made coming home at night or leaving early in the morning very uncomfortable. The hotel is old. Decor is outdated. Although they are trying with little services like free soba at 10pm, a pay for 15 minute massage chair, flowers in the hall. We found out you can get youtube on the TV the last night of our trip. Oh well? Tiny rooms with a lot of wear and tear. It was definitely cramped and not great for larger humans. Showering, if tall, is a challenge. You also have to sit sideways on the toilet. Pretty awkward. They charge for extra towels, but were happy to give us more pillows? No closet, and the dresser drawers are blocked by a second bed in the twin room. We chose non smoking room. I have smoke related asthma, so its not just a preference. First 3 nights were fine, last 2 nights tobacco smell came in through our air conditioner vents. Not nice at all. They apologized with words only at check-out. You get one room key and you have to leave it at the front desk when exiting. Even to go to the convenient store and back. Inconvenient for friends sharing a room, but who may want to come and go at different times. (Ie. Asleep when friend comes back, dont hear the knock? Problems.) If you dont mind an old hotel, in a crappy neighborhood, then this was so cheap! 10min walk to Tomari Pier, Kokusai Road, Palette Kumoji, Miebashi and Kencho-mae station. 1250 yen cab ride to the airport.
