  Good option for staying in Solden

  We stayed for 3 nights and liked the Hotel Sunny. The rooms are big and have great views, the staff are friendly and the hotel has excellent facilities (including a nice, clean boot room). The lifts are c. 7mins walk away (and it is nice to be located slightly away from the main street and bars).

  Definitely recommend

  What a lovely hotel. We have just had a fantastic week in Sölden and a wonderful stay at Hotel Sunny. The food is quite amazing, the rooms are beautiful, large with a bath, the wellness area and pool are excellent. The drinks are not expensive, the house wine was lovely. Cant fault anything, good WiFi too.

  Terrible hotel.

  We were the only guests in the last week of march 2019. We were Not welcome the minute we walked in. The bar personal was Allright but the female Manager didnt ask us anything and slammed me!!! We tried to talk about it with her husband, but his wife was out of control!!! We wantend to spend a lot of money in this desolated hotel but now we are looking for a another opportunity. You are Not feeling welcome at all!!! Only the pool and sauna are working, all the other wellness facilties are Not!. I think this terrible hotel will last for a maximum of one year from now. They dont know how to make you feel at home at this outdated hotel!!! Never again

  A very moderate hotel

  Normally I never write negative reviews because I don't want to waste my time on this. I only write about places I would like to return to. However for this hotel I make an exception. You know in advance if you go to the cheaper ski hotels in Austria that they may be dated, despite they have four stars. To receive stars from The Austrian Hotel Classification you have to meet many requirements as a hotel. Clean rooms are a pre-condition to be eligible for the stars. Lets start positive, the rooms were clean. However, the furniture had their best time and were completely worn out. The hotel has a new small swimming pool and a number of saunas = extra stars. However, only one sauna was working during our stay and the others did not work all week. The breakfast is fine. The dinner is very moderate, a very poor salad bar. In addition, friendliness and professionalism of management and staff are looked into. This is something they really have to work on because it was really hard to find. The manager is smoking in the bar, is not at all interested in the guests and sometimes very unfriendly (see also her reactions to negative reviews). I spend many nights and days in hotels but I never met someone who treated her guest like this. I can recommend the management to go to hotels themselves and enjoy their rooms and hospitality and learn from them. Because small adjustments can make it a great hotel on a very central location.

  Good location, unpleasant staf

  We spent few days with group of friends on skiing holidays. Hotel is in walking distance to the cable car station and offers a poosibilty of storage of equipment in ski depo, what was great. The room was spacey and clean. We took a half board. Brekfast was rich and dinner was very tasty. Every evening our group of 10 took some bottles of wine, but nevertheless we were charged 3 eur per liter of tapped wather. One of our friend arrived a night before alone and she was charged the full price of double room. On her complain the lady put 7 (seven) euro from bill what would be the cost of half board for second person. We all had impression that they would like to earn some easy money. Otherwise good but without any surplus.
