    Enjoyable atmosphere

We booked for 4 nights, but we prolonged our stay for one more night. The quadruple room is big, spatious and with a very confortable bed. It is located at two-minute walk by the beach and very close to good restaurants. The breakfast is good, with lots of fresh fruits and local sweets and patistry. The staff is so kind and helpful, that it creats a cosy atmosphere. They always laugh and are ready to make the holiday as nice as they can. Lido is a chill resort, perfect for families and kids. From here, you can easily trip to Venetia, Verona or Padova.

Mixed feelings and would give 2.5* if I could.

On this review I will try to be as fair as possible given that I have already had an email exchange with the hotel management over the situation we found ourselves in. I wasnt going to review on Trip Advisor but the hotel emailed me and asked for feedback if it was a good experience to leave a review on here, or if it was sharing concerns then to email them directly I did that and now I am going to leave a constructive review. If the hotel respond, then I hope that they are accurate as well. We booked a 10-day trip taking in Venice, Jesolo and Rome. We arrived at this hotel on 22/08 and was surprised at just how small the room was considering we had booked a quadruple (our booking reference suggests it was a superior quadruple). In the room we needed to fit two adults and two teenagers and the room configuration was a double bed and a sofa that converts into a bunk bed, so I am surprised to read reviews on here that suggest the quadruple room was massive ours most certainly was not. In fact, I would suggest that the room size we had should fit no more than two adults with maybe a small child our kids are 13 & 14. I am now thinking that I have been mis-sold and have paid for less than a quadruple room. When we booked the hotel, we asked for a good view and we were informed, and I quote we thank you for your email and we will give you the room with the best view possible with 1 double and 2 single beds. We did not get two single beds two single beds would never have fitted in this room along with the double! In the email exchange that I have had with the hotel since leaving the suggestion was that I should have spoken to the staff to question the room if it wasnt big enough, why? The hotel knew the specification of the personnel that would be in the room and we assumed that as this was a 3* hotel this was therefore a quadruple room, albeit shocked at the size. To me the hotel should be making this clear during the booking process e.g. yes we can give you a room with a good view, although, please bear in mind that it may be a smaller room with a sofa bunk bed setup this allows the customer to then make a more rounded decision. The other issue we had was that the safety rail was not fixed to the top of the very slim, and slender bunk bed, but was actually hiding behind the curtain. Yes, I guess we could have asked about this earlier, although when we questioned this on the night prior to check out the receptionist stated that the safety rail should have been fitted before our arrival, even though, the management that I have been exchanging emails with quoted The maids dont prepare the beds with the protection, since many guests dont want it, but they leave the protection-rail in the room for the ones that need it. As before, if you had told us about it the day you got here, we would have fixed the issue. Should it not be the duty of the hotel to advise of the rail guard as part of the welcome, rather than me (who had paid circa £600 for 3 nights) to go fishing for the information? This is very simple and basic information that should be presented from the outset. Positives of the hotel I agree with the other reviews that the hotel is very clean and the staff that we interacted with were very friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast was good for choice although was a typical continental style. Would I stay here again, no. Based on my after service experience I am immensely put off. At best I would have only given this hotel 3 rating but now feel that a 2 rating is the highest I would go to. We left this hotel and went to room in a junior suite (Rome Times Hotel) and it was only £100 more with a modern large room, free mini bar on first night and a partitioned bed setup a great hotel in Rome. If I compare based on the cost associated with our stay in Rome, then this hotel in my opinion, is not best value for money at the price we paid for the room configuration that we had. Judging by the other reviews, and the hotel comments, then other rooms are potentially bigger and offer better value; however, this is sadly not true of our booking. This is a real shame that has led to me feeling let down on our booking because I am not thinking that we could, and should, have had a bigger room. I dont agree that the onus should be on me - as the paying guest - to point this out.

    Fabulous hotel

We stayed here in September 2020 and had a lovely time. The owners, Roberta and Alessandro, are really friendly and helpful and the hotel is only five minutes from the beach with two free sun beds and a parasol for the duration of your stay. The safe deposit box and air con is also included as is the very good breakfast. The room was lovely and all the areas of the hotel were very clean, with hand sanitiser everywhere. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel due to the lovely staff and the excellent location, very close to plenty of restaurants but not noisy at night. We hope to return next year!

    A dip in the family

I went back to the Hotel Stockholm to spend a weekend full of fun and hospitality that characterizes this structure! Excellent location, a few meters from the beach and which, with short trips, allow you to reach the main places of fun for young people. The morning is always a sweet awakening thanks to the buffet breakfast...its a must! You can taste sweet and savory delicacies of all kinds, prepared directly by Marisa. The cleanliness of the rooms is impeccable thanks to the care and attention of the women who take care of them. There are many services which can be used inside the hotel, such as the new swimming pool accessible also to even younger children. Last but not least the friendliness, welcome and sympathy of Alessandro and Roberta who are always ready to exchange two laughs with their guests, making them feel part of a beautiful family !! In this very particular period the Hotel Stockholm was not discouraged and has adopted effective security measures to guarantee customers a worry-free stay.
