  Convenient Location

  Stayed here with the Family for two weeks. Unfortunately we couldn't get an adjoining room so if you want to keep an eye on your Kids get in early! Located a short 10 Minute walk from Escal Plaza and the Goryu Ski Lifts or if you don't like a warm up before skiing there is a shuttle bus provided by the Hotel. Breakfast is Ok however some healthier choices would have been appreciated with more fruit etc. The lady running the office was terrific. She does everything she can to make the stay smooth. She was marvellous helping me when I tore my calf muscle on the second last day and organised the medical centre so they knew I was coming. Western Rooms or Futons on the Floor check before booking. Ski In/Out; There's plenty of snow but you would have to ski down the road which is not really advisable. Definitely have to walk uphill to the lifts

  Excellent stay

  First thing that catches you when you step into Stelle Belle is a very friendly greeting by Junko at the reception desk. From there on everything is just perfect. We stayed in a suite room which has exceeded all the expectations. it is roomy and functional. The ski slopes are just 3-5 minutes walking however, if you don't feel like to walk there are three shuttle busses from the hotel in the morning to take you there. There is a roomy heated drying room for skis and boots. The hotel can book ski rentals and ski passes for better price than booking it online. Breakfast is very good with various food hot and cold, continental and Japanese with an excellent hot miso soup every morning. Junko and her husband are very helpful when comes to help with booking a tour or dinner and also will arrange a drop off and pick up for the tours. There is a free and very fast wi-fi in the hotel and every room. The restaurant Sushi Katsu in Wind Inn was the best food experience during our stay and can only recommend it. Overall, it was our second stay at Stelle Belle for skiing and will definitely return again.

  Convenient clean comfortable

  Booked through booking.com 3 bed for 3 people for one week. It met our expectations for the reasonable price. Clean and functional room, 3 single beds with warm heating. One cupboard for hanging was a little bit limiting as we kept most belongings in our suitcase. The room would benefit from hooks or some shelving. Breakfast was included in price. It was generous in the offering of western or Asian variety. Very subdued atmosphere. We enjoyed the on site inside onsen. It was only small but each time we visited we had mostly to ourselves. The outdoor onsen is inside an outside building and can be booked for groups after 21.00. Junko at front desk us always friendly and helpful. She communicated well prior to our arrival and had everything ready for our 2am arrival. She also gave out a map pointing out all the local restaurants. Enough restaurants on offer for a weeks stay to try a new one each night. Recommend RESTAURANT R. We appreciated the free locker for skis and boots, and also the daily morning shuttle to escal plaza for goryu & Hakuba 47 slopes. Its within 5 minutes walking distance. Highly recommend sanasaka ski resort (only 10 minutes away) for a fun less crowded option. We had it to ourselves mid week with fresh snow. The hotel didnt really provide socialisation with other guests. Very quite at night. We would recommend and hopefully return some day.

  Great location

  Easy access to the slopes, transport and restaurants. Friendly staff, and yummy breakfast (very Japanese mix of western/Japanese dishes) The onsens were lovely after a day on the slopes - don't be shy! Japanese style family room great for travelling with the kids - Would benefit from more hooks around the room for jackets etc.

  Comfort and convenience close to the slopes

  Hotel Stelle Belle is located a short walk from the slopes. The hotel is clean and comfortable providing a spacious room and full breakfast (western or Japanese style). Individual lockers are provided in the basement to store ski gear and the local rental firms pick up at the end of the stay. The onsite Onsen is an ideal way to end a day on the mountain. Apart from easy access to the slopes, the location is also walking distance from a range of cool bars and restaurants in this small, cozy wooded village. The staff are very helpful and shuttle service is provided to the bus from Nagano.
