Comfortable hotel with spectacular view and spaThis elegant hotel has a great location, spacious rooms, a great view from the dining room and most rooms, a luxurious spa, a delicious breakfast, and friendly front desk staff. It is located on the Alpe di Suisa with views and green all around, but near enough to Compatsch and Salvia to easily walk to their stores, restaurants, lifts, and buses. The spa seemed to be modeled, or at least decorated, based on the Roman baths in Pompeii, with even better facilities sauna, steam room, warm relaxing room, warm pool of salt water and jets, and cold/ice water rooms perfect after a day of hiking. The breakfast buffet (included) was varied and delicious, with eggs anyway you wanted them and the dining room had spectacular views. Our room was spacious with lots of surfaces and a big balcony. The front desk staff were friendly, patient and helpful. For all of these things, we would return again. The only issue was that for both breakfast (included) and dinner (optional), the tables in the dining room were assigned based on the room you were in. And they gave the best rooms, and thus the best tables, to the long-term/returning guests. So since we were first-time guests staying 3 nights, we had the table farthest from any window. This seemed unnecessary for a 3.5 hour breakfast window, and it made us feel like second class citizens. Luckily, we requested and were given a table by the window (with a view) by coming late to breakfast after the regulars had come and gone, and after the first day the dining staff graciously had a table ready for us, so it turned out well. They also gave us a window table for dinner the night we arrived since there was one free, but they made it clear that was an exception, so we found other places to eat dinner in Compatsch. Dinner was very exotic (to us) meat and vegetarian Tyrolean fare, and we didnt want to eat it every night anyway. The fitness center was in a dark basement room with very little equipment, but we didn't need it since we were hiking, and the spa more than made up for it.

Fantastic hotel in Seiser AlmMy third stay at Steger-Dellai. First time I went with three girlfriends and last two times with my husband. It's a beautiful hotel with a relaxing and personal atmosphere, with the most caring and friendly staff. It feels like coming home. They have a great breakfast-buffet and serves 5 or 6 course dinner every night. From the hotel you have walking distanse to the most beatiful mountains - the Dolomites. We would love to come back :-)

Not worthy of 4 stars (anymore)The best thing about this hotel is the staff. Lovely personalities. It takes 40 minutes for them to make a simpel egg in the morning, and the dinner menu is nothing special. You would think with 4 stars that the quality would be higher. The rooms are outdated and the WiFi is non-existent! The hotel might have been 4-stats in the 90's, but I don't think it is 4-stats by today's standards.

Medium size hotel not meeting a four-star standard (room-related only)Medium size hotel. Located in the immediate vicinity of the shuttle bus. This is important because there is a strict ban on driving your own vehicle. Rooms do not meet a four-star standard. Clean but a bit outdated. The rooms on the first floor, which are advertised as Alpine rooms, are located directly above the outside area of the restaurant. When the weather is fine, the room is unreasonably loud throughout the day and into the evening hours. The windows must be kept closed if you are a guest seeking peace and quiet. Under the given circumstances, it is also not recommended to stay in your own balcony area. However, the services of the service crew are fully convincing. The service is attentive, friendly and competent at all times. The kitchen crew convinces with varied creations. The dining room and themed restaurants are well looked after and invite you to linger. Overall assessment: anyone looking for peace and quiet in the room area should consider alternatives.

Wonderful stayWe had the most wonderful stay at this hotel. We had half board and the food was incredible catering for us as vegetarians. The staff were super friendly and their attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Well worth the cost of rooms at this beautiful place with an amazing view. We will be back Thank you
