  How can you cross the Stelvio pass without stopping at Sparerhof?

  Another year, another tour of Europe on a Volvo (this time, Des' V8!), and after the Belgian and Italian GP, on the way home, Stelvio pass needed to be tested with the new car. Once again, we booked a night at Sparerhof, where we found an excellent dinner (also for veggies like me and our friend who tagged along) served in a quiet and spotless environment. After that, we moved to the bar for the usual drinks and banter - and boy we did have to rant about, between Brexit and odd local administration! The room was large, comfortable, with quality bedding and very quiet, thus giving us a good night sleep. After a lovely breakfast, where you could find everything you need to get the day started, including freshly baked cakes (!!), we hit the road again, homebound, with the promise to come back another time again. Why go somewhere else when you have found already the perfect place to stay? ;-)

  Nice hotel with fantastic service!

  During our recent visit we arrived late in the evening at our hotel, they still provided us with a wonderful cold plated dinner and accommodated any request we had.I would definitely come back! The owner still took time to make us feel welcome and told us about local attractions!

  Brilliant Hospitality

  The food was excellent. The service was professional and courteous. The facility was clean and welcoming. Those alone would garner 4 out of 5 stars. However it was the remarkable patience and grace with which they handled my large and jovial group of Wine Business Professionals, that earned the 5th star. I would certainly return, alone or with another group, to this fine establishment.

  Family Run Hotel

  We had the opportunity to spend an evening at this lovely little gem of a hotel in Sudtirol recently. The grandfather, who built the hotel himself, checked us in. His daughter-in-law and grandson served us dinner. Andreas Sparer, Grandpas son, served us in the bar, and entertained us with stories of his travels as a merchant seaman Our dinner featured fresh, locally grown, white asparagus which just happened to be in season as we were traveling through. It was a real treat, as was our entire experience at Hotel Sparerhof!

  Brilliant service by the pool, the bar and breakfast. The pool was a welcome refreshment after a week of hiking across the alps and the hotel staff were amazing. Breakfast was full of local delicacies and the coffee was servced individually, which was great after a week of filter coffee in Germany/Austria.
