    STAY AWAY!

What a BAD start to a weekend away in Poland. We had booked a double room at Hotel Solny Resort & Spa with 3 stars. At arrival we were already disappointed in the first impression of the hotel - it looked much older than the pictures. We checked in and payed for two nights in advance. We went to our room at the second floor where we were meet by working men renovation half of the rooms at the floor - they were still working even though we arrived at 18 o'clock. We went to the room, and the disappointment was even bigger. The rooms was old and smelled. The mattress was very old and the springs was broken from many years of use. Long story short - we didn't want to stay. We went down to the reception to ask for a refund for one night since the hotel didn't live up to the standard, and therefore we wanted to find another place to stay for the weekend. However this was not possible because we had already payed. I tried to explain one more time, that we were no near satisfied with the standard of the room, but they were not forthcoming to our request. We ended up leaving the hotel having paid 825 PLN for NOTHING! Bad service!! We checked in to Arka Medical Spa just 5 minutes from the other hotel, and this hotel is much better quality at a lower price. I would most definitely recommend this hotel for people visiting Kolobrzeg! Keep away from Hotel Solny Resort & Spa!

The best time had gone - 20 years ago.

Location is great, very close to the beach. Hotel is minimum 50 years old , from "Communism time". Not maintained properly. Do not take all day food, in Kolobrzeg you can find many nice small bars and restaurants with much better food. Very close bay there are few bars, available, too. Wi-Fi at Reception, only! Sic!!! To many old retired German guests.

    Not for English Speakers

Arrived at the hotel on Friday, was checked in by friendly but none English speaking staff. Hotel room is avarage but the bathroom wasnt clean enough and changing water temperature in shower is annoying. Unfortunately I was waked up by the staff asking me to leave at 11 even tho I had 2pm late checkout. Cleaners tried to come inside the room while I was dressing up. After checking out I asked if its possible to have a coffee at the Bar, girl at the desk said yes but Barmen didnt want to serve me because I havent had all inclusive even tho I wanted to pay for my drink. It took very long time to communicate with the staff as they speak no English. I dont know if they have age restrictions but most customers are over 70 years old. I guess thats why they wanted to keep the super old interior of the Hotel. This is my second time at this establishment and I wont be coming back.

    Awful ! Stay away.

This place is shocking. Don't be fooled by the photos , this is not what you are getting here, hotel is so tired and dated its unreal. My fathers room was facing a building side ( which also belongs to the hotel) so lovely view and noise first thing in the morning. I booked double room for me and my husband but we got 2 single bed. Beds don't even have a mattresses - just couple of inch thick toppers. Pillows disgusting - stained , dirty and lumpy - this is not acceptable . I joined the queue at the reception of people complaining about accommodation but lady only smiles and shake the shoulders as there is nothing she can do .... Avoid at all costs , there are many decent hotels around and also if you book online its about 30% more expensive than directly so if you are brave enough to stay here book directly. Swimming pool is not available for hotel guests.
